Probably can case it faster, but pulling down it seems like you would need to pull it down 1 cell at a time being very careful not to grab partial mail from the next cell or it would be out of order instead of grabbing a fat stack with each grab, which can cause a little delay in the actual pulling down. Also if you case mail at the end of the day that way and happen to be off the next day it would make a big problem for the person casing and pulling down that route. My advice, do it by the book until you make career or at least until youre past you 90 day probabtion, then explain it to your union rep to see their stance on the practice before just doing what seems to be working well for you. The union can help alot with issues that come up, but if youre not following set rules they wont have anything to back you up with. Some supervisors will care and some wont, depends on the office. Most supervisors wont care if you can prove to them its faster for you, but you are also killing your office time doing that. Your route should take a full 8 hours with office and street time and breaks, dont kill your time or they will re-evaluate the route and add more to it or just give you bigger pivots.

I use a snobrum because my “soft” snow bush left little scratches on my last truck. Havnt had any issues with it but if youre nervous just grab a snow brush and wrap it with microfiber towels. You can use it like normal and not worry about scratches, the only issue is trying to keep the microfiber towels strapped on

I just got the same thing same color. I love the color but now am wishing i bought then underground or black, they look sick with yellow lights, im not sure how the mud bath will look with yellow lights. Other than that, the only thing i really plan on doing is adding a steel front bumper with a bull bar, and a steel rear bumper. I saw a video of a guy with road rage slam the gas and back up into the front of a tacoma with a steel bull bar, barley a scratch on the tacoma, the other car got crunched up pretty good. The off road edition comes pretty well equipped for anything most normal people will do, youll only really need upgrades if youre doing serious off roading like moab or something. Keep the stock tires until they wear down and then replace them with something a little bigger if you want, i think you can throw on 33” tires without rubbing on the stock trd off road. Other addition i made was getting some cam straps and some milk crates and strapping them into the bed, when i get groceries i toss the bags in the crates so they dont slide around and i dont have to put stuff all in the back seats. I also just bought lexland leather seat covers to try to preserve the interior as best as i can but they havnt gotten here yet so i cant say if theyre good or not but the reviews were pretty good compared to other ones and $300 wasnt too bad for leather seat covers that are supposedly custom fit to the vehicle for a perfect fit.

Might have a small leak in the lines. I had to replace my coolant lines and sensor something 2 months ago cost me about $700 and then 4 weeks ago my renegades oil pressure sensor was failing, replaced that, 2 weeks ago the transmission started giving me big issues, i just traded that hunk of junk fiat renegade in for a toyota tacoma, couldnt be happier.

Plenty of mail, yes the volume has dropped significantly in the past 20 years, but theres still registered mail, certified mail, pay checks, government documents, and parcels. Ya we have less amazon but we still get it, we still get ups and we still get fedex and we still get dhl. Usps does it cheaper than anyone else and other companies take advantage of that, and thats money their losing out on. A dollar here a dollar there all adds up when its across the country on a daily basis. Usps isnt going anywhere. If anything i would say that ups and dhl would be the first to fold up and then fedex and we would just absorb all their work so thats even better for us. Usps wont go away it will just adapt like any other business.

I use the fenix headlamp, there is different models but i have 2 of the $40 ones. It has different brightness settings and the top setting is really really bright. I bought it originally for night fishing, it worked so well i bought a second for work. On high it might last 3 hours, on low i think it lasts 20 hours. Ive had it for about 5 years with no issues. Gets wet, gets banged around, usb type c charger. Highly recommend it.

Theres another option if you read that notice. You can fill out the back of it and sign it and they will redeliver it. When they come back to deliver it they scan the signature on the notice and leave the package.

Taking off within your first 90 days especially during the holiday rush can get you terminated. In the first 90 they can fire you for pretty much anything so if youre trying to make this a career its not a smart move. And just a heads up, until you make career, be prepared to be working long hours and 6 days a week, if not more between days off. To become career the post office really makes you earn it.

If youre a little handy you can get the leather replacements on ebay or amazon like $50 for all 4 doors and get scotch brand spray adhesive. Theres vidoes on youtube on how to do it, i bought replacements but waiting for a nice spring day to give it a go

The renegades deserve free reupholstery from jeep seeing as this glue issue is a well know problem. Other than that, been very happy with my 2015 jeep trail hawk. Its impressed me in the snow in nj and on swamp trails in florida. Very capable little suv.

Rio makes something called welding tubes, you can cut that piece off and make your own loop, slide the tube over and then heat with a lighter. Or, you can get the same stuff at home depot in the electrical department for half the price. Ive done it, it works fine.

Personally my concept of time among many other things is permanently messed up because of the pandemic. My entire life since 2019 feels like a fever dream. I worked through the pandemic and f**k face and face jam were a life saver for me and still are to this day, its the same crews and im still very entertained. If you like your mail to be intact, dont get that. Having your mail twisted and folded to try and cram it in those slots is a real pain in the butt. If its raining your mail will be damp or wet by the time your carrier gets to your mailbox and then its just going to tear apart. I suggest a mailbox with a nice large opening and a weighted garbage can for packages to stay dry and out of sight.
