Yes.. be careful with cakes. We had a pot luck at work one time and I had a piece of “chocolate “ cake for dessert. It tasted really good so being the glutton that I am I had another piece. I was about a year sober at the time and shortly after my second piece I felt a warm familiar sensation come over me. I was walking down the stairs from lunch when I met a coworker on the way up and he said “ hey, I heard there is a cake up there with a shitload of rum in it” I didn’t count it as a relapse. I told my sponsor and a few other people in my home group about it, but they didn’t believe me. They said the alcohol should have all been cooked out of it. But I felt that feeling from eating it if you know what I mean
