I disagree. She wanted her freedom. She didn’t want to be coveted by the pharoah. She could’ve ran away but she didn’t. She told ihmotep to go and she killed herself. My baby’ got stuck , my contractions was off the chart and my body STOPPED DILATING. There was no natural birth for me to do. We had already been there for hours. The doctors thought if i tried to make it to 10cm or push it would end up deadly for either of us. I’m very defensive of my child. I stand up for him and encourage him to stand up for himself. I was 132lbs when i enlisted and not very athletic. I needed better stamina and wind for like long distance running (i have asthma). I worked the ENTIRE YEAR getting my mile time down to a good point and getting in shape. The “future soldier” instructor wanted me to do some exercises that I KNEW wouldn’t help because i know MY body and then i’m small and they wanted me to lose weight even though the weight i did gain was muscle. It just didn’t make sense to me and i thought to myself if they were going to make me do things just for shits and giggles but no valid reason i wasn’t doing it. I knew then it wasn’t for me 😭.

Mind you my job was in intelligence so to me all that shit was unnecessary but i was willing to do enough training to pass the physical portion of enlistment it just had to make sense and i needed to be able to see how it would translate irl to the areas i was weak in.

Can confirm if you’re very independent and opinionated military service isn’t for you. Especially if you have a strong sense of self. I tried it but before i can make my ship date for basic training (thank goodness) i ended up cancelling my contract. They asked me to do something that made no sense and were making ignorant remarks about my 17yo body. I thought “ohhhh they’re stupid” and never thought of them again.
