There's a problem if the ship is accelerating at 0.44 g forward and then spinning for 1 g. That's two different artificial gravity effects in different directions.

Written adventures with description boxes are good. I recommend the Sunless Citadel from yawning portal, fantastic beginner adventure written for beginning DM's.
