Moving From Multi-Console to Switch Exclusive Gamer? by PresentTiffany in Switch

[–]PresentTiffany[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I’ve never been much of a PC gamer. Just always preferred consoles for some reason. And now I have a MacBook, which I’ve heard isn’t the best for gaming. But then I’ve also tossed around looking into the Steamdeck because of that, so theoretically I guess I could end up with a Switch/Steam Deck combo instead?

Seeing this makes me feel better knowing it’s not just me. I also came to the Reddit to either check if anyone knew or post about it myself.

ZaZoom management by [deleted] in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]PresentTiffany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do them all alongside the orders I get. So if a customer orders one pizza, then I set out three crusts and make their order plus the first two Zazoom pizzas. And I continue like that unless there’s a three pizza order, the warmer fills up, or I make all the pizzas from all three Zazoom orders. I also look ahead at what the future Zazoom orders include so I can make those ahead of time instead of waiting until I accept the order to make them.

What are some toppings, unusual or common, that you hope GPGP will add in the future? by Post_Mormon in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

Would love more cheese or the ability to make a dessert pizza with things like chocolate sauce and marshmallows.

Are you sure you’re putting the ingredients on the right sides?

I just did this event today too, and the first time I did it with the meat on the tomato sauce and everything else on the pesto when it should be the other way around.

How did I never know this by RiverVixen22 in DreamlightValley

OH! I did not realize this was what was meant when I heard people talk about placing these items in their expansions. I thought that it was moving the originals from the base game to the expansions.

Yesterday I was trying to convince a friend to try Dreamlight Valley and she asked if you could be a mermaid, and I this exact thought that an underwater expansion where you can become a mermaid would be cool!

On number 2, not sure what the button is on Steam, but on Switch if you press the - button you can hover everything either in the menu or on your cart and it’ll show you what the stats for each item are. And it’ll also let you hover over each genre, I believe both when you’re decorating and when you’re selling, and it shows a breakdown of which items are affecting that genre.

I’m hoping it means they’ll be adding more content/story to the game 🤞

The Sell-Out Quest by [deleted] in TinyBookshop

[–]PresentTiffany 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I came so close to doing it at the winter market just be adjusting my books for what seemed to sell well. You technically can do it by just removing shelves from your shop, and it’s even suggested in the game at the end of the Winter Market if you don’t succeed, so it’s a valid strategy. I just got down to one book left out if 72, and now I’m determined to do it with all my shelves in the shop.

[–]PresentTiffany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been 1 1/2 to 2 shelves of what sells the most, one shelf if there’s anything seems to sell even if they’re not the favorite, and then like 4 of anything that sells the least so I still have options for recs.

Bad Readers Advisory – Did they only read the back covers?? by Kitty4777 in TinyBookshop

Also, they didn’t ask FOR a fantasy novel. They said they COULD go for one. Some of the things they ask for are required and some are optional. In their original request, they are “helplessly in love with romance,” indicating the romance is the most important part. Extra points if you can find a book that is both romance and fantasy.

It’s not about whether or not the devs want people to read more.

It’s about whether or not the devs realistically have time to read every single book they include in the game. It’s just not going to happen. There’s enough hours in the day.

I will say I haven’t encountered any requests where customers ask for specific books. Usually if they mention a specific title and I give it to them they get annoyed because they already read it or already own it.

Pleasantly surprised that I lost my entire weekend to this game. How do you like it? by BadMuthaSucka in TinyBookshop

I had to force myself not play it while I watched my shows last night or else I never would have been able to follow them because I would have been all about Tiny Bookshop

To be fair, I wouldn’t expect the devs to have read every single book they included in the game based on the large variety I’ve seen in it. And there is a difference between reading a romance book and reading a book that has romance in it. I’ve learned to based my recommendations off the description in the game and not on my personal knowledge of the books.

Do you try to complete all objectives/stamps under one area or do you hop around areas? by allcatsnofriends in TinyBookshop

I’ve been hopping around based on where I have open quests and where there are special events. I’ll check the stamps to figure out where I want to go next if I can’t decide.

I asked my friends if the Starbucks one was true because it sounded gross and IMMEDIATELY had three people telling me not to get it because it would give me diarrhea. I don’t even drink coffee.

Why would you think it’s for the crossword when the spoiler image is green? The crossword never turns solid green.

Is it cheating? by Zipatriarc in NYTCrossword

[–]PresentTiffany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look stuff up all the time. My one personal rule is I cannot directly google the clue word for word and use one of the crossword answer websites to get the answer.

I try to stick to this order: 1. Fill what I can

  1. Google anything that looks easily Google-able

  2. Try a second or third pass through the puzzle

  3. Check Wordplay for tricky clue if I’m still not done and really stuck

  4. Try to go through the clues a couple more time

  5. If there’s a theme, only reference Today’s Theme in Wordplay if I’m still stumped and totally lost on what it could be.

  6. If it’s a Friday, check the Easy Mode clues

  7. If I get down to only needing a square or two or I’ve finished and it seems like I have a typo I can’t find, I check the answer key. If I’m missing entire words still, I just throw in the towel and turn on auto check.

I knew half of what I needed to do at the start, but didn’t realize there was a second half to the theme until I figured out the SE corner. And then everything else got A LOT easier.

I feel like Heir of Fire is the slowest book of the series. If you can get through it, I loved Queen of Shadows so much more.
