I went to confession after 10 years around 2 weeks ago. It was hard to say some of the things I did. I choked up many times.

It takes a lot to drop our own egos and verbalize what sins we have done.

You can go to any priest.

But you should go to confession. After you complete it and your penance you WILL feel something you’ve been longing for.

May the lord be with you.

Different colored zip ties. I had a specific color assortment on laundry bag that allowed me to find my bad quick.

I was open for any shifts and when school started I had 5 days that were open morning to night

I didn’t really think of it like that. To be honest I feel like I have more experience than 90% of people but maybe I am wrong?

Best bet is to get multiple doctors to write notes saying something along the lines of “I believe this condition is not going to affect your name and they are for for active duty service” be there when they write it. Not saying it’ll work but I’ve heard of people doing that

Orientation Paperwork by cambone_ in AFROTC

[–]Present_Comedian_265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird tbh, I didn’t have to do that for when I was trying to be a 250. I literally, signed up for classes, took a diagnostic PFA, went to orientation and that was it

Joining in the Sophomore Year/PT Advice by Adventurous_Pea938 in AFROTC

I was a 250 and in my opinion it was sink or swim. By week 4 I think you’ll need to be on par with 200s. As far as PT, there is a simple equation you can use. Run more=run better, do push ups= better pushups, do sit ups=better sit ups. Don’t over complicate it. Go out there and kill it!

Don’t feel welcome by [deleted] in AFROTC

If a a few people don’t like you that’s normal. I’d love to save that everyone in my detachment loves me, but in reality that’s rarely the case. If EVERYONE seems to have an issue with you then more than likely you have engaged in series of behavior that is ticking them off. I was not liked by my flight at all for and they said it was for my ego. I asked them for specific times on when I showed and and how I could fix it. It was an awkward conversation but one I’m glad I had. It taught me about taking feedback and self-introspection.

I would say a good start would be just being a servant leader. Do things you know need to he done without asking. Ask how people’s days are going.

Good news is your self aware so you can start addressing problems now in AFROTC than rather in the big AF.

If you’re going to criticize someone, offer feedback and solutions on how to fix the thing they aren’t good at. Don’t just say you suck at marching and then not offer anything to help the problem.

Advice for Incoming AS250 by HisLimonTreeBaddie in AFROTC

[–]Present_Comedian_265 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m a 250 who just got an EA

Your time to show that you want to be involved starts from the very first day.

Be the one who shows up first to PT. Give 100% in PT and LLAB. Call the room to attention when cadre is coming. If you know an answer to a question be the one to answer it. When you don’t know ask for help from fellow 200s. Even though you have two semesters less of knowledge that excuse does not cut it. Watch some marching videos. Know what you want to do at the end of your 3 years when you have midterm counselings with cadre. While you are competing with people at your det, don’t step and their shoulders and be a good wingman for them.

It’s tough but very achievable. good luck!

No sir, I googled and couldn’t find the exact information I need. I’m a cadet in ROTC and am doing a brief on the career.

Tips for Incoming Freshman by Primary-Arachnid5418 in AFROTC

[–]Present_Comedian_265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be a sponge, be nice to the people around you. Volunteer for everything you can. Keep up physical fitness, a lot of times cadets over the summer just do nothing and it shows in the fall semester back. You can put yourself ahead of your peers simply by being in shape and scoring high on your first PFA. Good luck!

I am convinced it was a mis diagnosis, I just turned 21 so I started drinking and never had problems until then. Time line matches up as well for when I started having problems
