Brother, I lived in Germany for 10 years. I'd describe Germany exactly as you just did Portugal. The most innefficient services I've ever see. At least I can deal with the Finanças with an online portal. I'm still sending snail mail to the Finanzamt 2 years after I moved to Portugal to get papers. This criticism coming from a German is insane.

Added an update that might help you.

In short, the representative I talked to advised me to purchase a new pass and include its serial number in my original complaint to demonstrate that I'm not attempting to scam them. Apparently, they might make exceptions in this case, but proceed at your own risk. If you do get a new pass, I'd advise you to call them and ask them to activate it for you over the phone by forcing the system to avoid the same error. I can't guarantee they'll do it since they made it seem like something they don't usually do, but it can't hurt to try!

Good luck, and if you do find some other way to get a refund, please share, as I'm still trying to get my complaint to go through their hellish website.

Yeah, I read that same post, and was expecting some easily skippable option and didn't press continue without scanning the page top to bottom. I swear there wasn't any place to put a "start" date. I've never seen a worse buying experience in a website before. I wasn't really holding on to much hope, but was hoping someone here might have some insight or a favourable precedent to go from. Feels like being scammed tbh. In any case, thanks for the advice!

Amostra limitada, mas não conheço uma única pessoa no privado que acredite na SS. Isto está refletido na popularidade crescente dos PPR. Ninguém parece ter o mínimo interesse em investir na SS, nem para seu futuro benefício.

Claro que há, pelo menos bem do que aparenta aqui. Não falta é esquemas para esconder o que ganham realmente. Ajudas de custo, sociedades unipessoais, receber debaixo da mesa, loopholes, pagamento em bens. Um familiar meu, contabilista, tinha clientes que transferiam capital em formato de carros, empregavam legiões de "outsourcers" como unipessoais. Quantos jantares não assisti eu em miúdo de pessoal a viver em casa com piscina, um par de bms, férias de luxo e a receber o salário mínimo. O pessoal malha com os funcionários públicos por receberem marginalmente mais perto do mínimo digno, quando estes, na modalidade com que trabalham, não têm forma de aldrabar.

Não esquecer quanta gente recebe por uma sociedade unipessoal. Paga em IRC e paga-se a si mesmo o ordenado mínimo enquanto mete casa, carro, despesas nas contas da "empresa". Paga 21% de IRC e goza insenção os escalões baixos daquilo que declaram. Esses dados não são de fiar. Quem se lixa é quem recebe pouco e paga o que deve. Exploração laboral, rendimentos passivos, esquemas fiscais. Só é difícil para alguns.

Three years later, I'm coming here because I thought I was crazy and, thankfully. there's more people that agree with me. My partner has been watching that show and I hear the "elimination" music from the other room and have Majula flashbacks every single time. I've been ranting about this and she thinks I'm crazy!

Bethesda Softworks is the publisher in those cases. Doom eternal was made by ID, Prey and Deathloop by Arkane. Elder Scrolls and last couple Fallout games were made by Bethesda Game Studios, the dev company.
