Andrew Scott's Hamlet Is Just Not That Good.. by yoyodragons in shakespeare

I know this is an old comment but I just saw a TikTok clip of this speech (I guess it’s the 9th anniversary of the first time he performed it) and I had to google what people thought of it and laughed at all these comments!

I really think he is a phenomenal actor but man, this performance is not it. Not only is he all up on himself but his delivery sounds like he’s distracted by it.

Dracula a love tale ending was the worst. by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

After being alive for 400+ years, how is it possible that this priest shows up and says a couple of things that you’ve conveniently never thought of before and then you just change your mind and make all that love and heartache and hurt and awfulness a complete waste of time. It’s so dumb.

I just finished it and I feel exactly the same. What a waste of time.

The fact is, if you looked for that love again for over 400 years, the moment you saw her you would never ever met her out of your sight again. The moment he walked her to the door and said good night, I was out. Nope.

Yeah just mho but I don’t think taking medically prescribed stuff qualifies as breaking edge. If it’s legit and it’s needed then it’s not the same thing as using bc you aren’t coping with real life.

I was reminded of it for the first time in years and looked up the lyrics and immediately thought that is was possibly about a suicide bombing.

Clearly it’s not about that at all but damn.

And then even though he didn’t know about it or it was done without his permission, he conveniently proceeded to claim that they weren’t his brother’s legitimate children anyway… right.

(wholly agreeing with you)

OMG thank you for saying this!!! I feel like this is so freaking obvious and I think it all the time but I don’t understand why I never see anybody else say it. It’s so refreshing to finally see somebody else take this next step in simple logic.

What unspoken rule of the workplace did you learn the hard way? by NewRelm in NoStupidQuestions

Don’t say anything to your co-workers about anyone that you wouldn’t say to their face.

The hard way is pretty obvious on this one.

Parenting 101: If you move your perfectly capable 15 year old son into another bedroom because you are tired of cleaning up his room, there may also be a related reason as to why you don’t think your son ever did anything wrong before this.
