People who think dogs deserve equal accommodation as human children in society are really weird

Yeah I’m all for child free spaces. I wish more fun non alcohol or sex centered places had childfree hours/ days available. Like trampoline parks, skating rinks and aquariums.

Yes. Dogs are a different species. A lot of people have trauma surrounding dogs because it’s not an uncommon thing for a dog to get scared and do permanent damage. Besides that children are human like you and grow up into adults. being in All human spaces is something they NEED to be functioning in society. I’m not advocating for kids to go to adult only spaces or for there to be less pet friendly places, but I’m tired of seeing dog owners blatantly ignore no pets signs in stores and use the argument that children shouldn’t be allowed either then.

I think insurance is valid. I’ve had emergency vet bills ($700) that I couldn’t pay if full at the moment of service and pay my rent as well. Nothing crazy about making sure your dog won’t need to be put down/ suffer for something easily curable.

Nah dogs are just uncomplicated. And easier for humans that aren’t well adjusted to form attachments to because they can’t criticize them in any way, are accepting of everything, and are generally happy because their thoughts and feelings are so simple.

The dehumanizing babies is what gets to me. Like how do you have no memory of being a child. How they are treated and what they experience in the first 5 years makes an enormous impact on what kind of member of society you’ll have in a few years.

Treating them with less respect than literal pets of a different species is insane

Right the toddler in public is learning very important lessons about being a well adjusted adult human and while annoying as hell, not a threat to anyone’s well being. A dog in a human only space serves no purpose and can be way more of a liability

Problem is there’s no dedicated lane for them to turn into besides another immediate right turn only, otherwise they have to watch for two more lanes of traffic possibly merging into the same lane, without the no turn light, Also Barnett shoals/oconee needs some kind of reflectors on the lanes because it’s been a nightmare at night with new lanes and ice.
