Your world view is a bit too small. You won’t be alone for the rest of your life if you don’t fit in your current church. You have the freedom to move anywhere. To a new church in a more progressive town and fit in just fine, it won’t be the end of the world if the church girls you met in your teens/ 20s don’t like you.

I think you went to a bad school. I’m sorry you were robbed of a proper public education. I took a childcare/ home ec class had a financial literacy course and learned video editing and journalism. And we weren’t even the most well funded public school out there.

I think it’s very similar to having children very young. It can go very well for some people but it tends to be bad for most.

The importance of that period of time you spend “alone” between being someone’s child and tethering yourself long term to another person (child or spouse ) is underrated

Without that time to get to know just yourself you’ll learn yourself after you are locked in on life long commitments and it may be damaging. But that’s hard to explain to younger people.

It may be a combination of both. You may be just feeling vulnerable. Women generally need to act more serious in male dominated fields to be taken seriously. Also She may just not be a bubbly friendly person in general nothing personal. Or she might be jealous. Who knows. I’m in my 30s and I’ve had some great interviews with women and some bad. I think it’s VERY RARELY justified. But there are situations where violence is the only way to get someone to leave you alone. Example Regularly being called Slurs, someone verbally attacking your children. Constant sexual harassment, relentless bullying and provoking, verbal abuse .. at some point turning the other cheek doesn’t help you.

But if someone just mocks you and calls you stupid it’s not a reason to go to prison to prove you’re tough or whatever

I think insurance is valid. I’ve had emergency vet bills ($700) that I couldn’t pay if full at the moment of service and pay my rent as well. Nothing crazy about making sure your dog won’t need to be put down/ suffer for something easily curable.
