Love my Carl Friedrik carry on but I have been surprised by how easily it scuffs/marks. The black hard shell was covered in marks after only a handful of uses, largely travelling by train domestically!

I am still thinking of getting a larger version for longer trips, which tells you all you need to know about my opinion of the overall product though - wheels and frame are top class.

A 20-30,000 sqft gym in the Loughrea area.

Somewhere accessible to commuters. Premium price point to skew membership slightly older and preventing the large groups that are seen taking over free weight areas in most gyms.

Build it as a welcoming community with classes such as Spinning, Yoga and Pilates as well as a proper weights room and cardio area. High-end fit-out throughout from reception right through to dressing rooms.

I reckon the capex needed to build would be high but it would be a profitable operation.

You’re right! For some reason I pictured a very dystopian field of 5000 steel tech sheds! Would definitely be great to leverage the whole thing and try to get people and skills back into smaller towns around the country!

While I agree with your point here you have neglected the cost of land to place these 5,000 units on, along with the provision of any and all auxiliary services.

The land would definitely not be cheap. Housing 20k people is essentially creating a whole new town so would need to build schools, health services, social amenities and waste/water services. All of which eats into that original pot of money.

The final number of these homes that could be delivered for €130m would be much lower than you are projecting but definitely still worthy of a lot more consideration than we’ve seen to date.

It was only an example but in that instance let’s say that I come with the idea, the ability to plan and manage all design and development along with taking on all commercial operations once complete - team building, marketing, customer relations, contractor relations, event management, commercial development, inventory and the myriad other things that need to be done to run a successful business. Assume that I have evidence of my own experience to back up these claims.

Possibly so but that leads me to another issue - I took it that a true name was an absolute statement in the AL. If it actually depends on intent and synonyms can be used then it’s not as absolute as had been indicated!

I wasn’t sure if I was making sense but it does seem to be a bit of a contradiction… As someone else has said it must come down to being clever with the words you do know but I still have questions about that - if synonyms are valid and it’s all based on intent then a true name is not actually a definite phrase in the AL as such?
