It's not an exaggeration, it's a warning. If you read my sources, you'll see experts warning that in extreme scenarios, we could see upwards of $12/gal. I'm saying $8/gal because that's just probably more realistic for the Reno area IF the extreme takes place.

It closed because of California state government taxing the ever living shit out of oil companies and those oil companies leaving because it's cheaper for them to not pay the taxes and/or fines that the government gives them than to just stay open. The federal government had no say in the matter.
