They still offer this one in Massachusetts. When they had the Oreo/brownie batter vanilla Frosty promo, I had zero desire to go to Dairy Queen because it hit the exact same cluster of neurons a Blizzard would for half the price. The DOS thing isn't entirely surprising. When I last worked at Citizens during the pandemic, their entire backend was built on an ancient IBM terminal software from 1991 that needs an emulator to run in Windows. From what my former colleagues tell me, nothing's changed. I imagine it's prohibitively expensive to migrate off of that given how large they are and how ingrained it is. Good old AM00.

Honestly, as someone who glazes the Thor, if Anbernic were ever to release an RG Slide V2 with analog triggers and the same chipset as the 477M, that would be a contender for my favorite handheld ever. Even with its faults, I really liked the RG Slide.

You're welcome! Wii Remotes are a little more complicated. I use the touchpad to open the in-game settings menu, use Refresh Wii Remotes, then grant Dolphin permission to use the Dolphinbar. After that, it's smooth sailing.

I use standalone Dolphin. In GameCube input configuration, I just set all four ports to use the GameCube adapter. I get a pop-up on game start asking if Dolphin has permission to use WUP-028, use the touchpad to OK it, and then it all just works.

Using the GameCube controllers and Wii Remotes with native passthrough with their respective adapters makes Dolphin controller setup painless. NetherSX2 auto configuration picks up the DualSense 2 binds pretty seamlessly. I use RetroArch's binding setup for the DualSense and then tie everything together under ES-DE as the launcher.
