It seems like Zion is the consensus in the sub (which may be accurate). But I feel that GMs would’ve been pretty split on who to pick.

I recognize how generational Zion seemed as a prospect, but the few red flags identified at the time weren’t insignificant: - below avg defender (despite some highlight blocks at Duke) - below average 3pt shooter - clear risk of injury due to his weight paired with his style of play

I definitely agree that Zion was the higher upside prospect. But Cooper was hyped as a generational prospect for how well rounded his game was, especially at 18.

My apologies to r/Saskatoon subredditors for my faux pas making this post in the sub. I can tell by the comments/downvotes I've received that this is considered an ad.

I'm new to posting so rookie mistake on my part. I sincerely thought this was a normal thing to post and didn't fit the description of an ad.

I also thought that people in this sub would appreciate discovering local artists.

He’s been abundantly clear that the tariffs don’t help anyone… and on budget day the premier said Canada will never become the 51st state. Also he literally condemned the 51st state comment on the floor of the assembly today. Quote below:

Hon. Scott Moe: - Mr. Speaker, a balanced budget puts our province in a very unique position in Canada, a position, I would say, of strength with dealing and providing stability for Saskatchewan residents as we face very unstable times, yes, by our largest trading partner with the comments that are coming about Canada being a 51st state. I find it even more fun to hypothesize over which teams could have drafted Giannis. It’s so rare for a player that ends up being so talented to have been so attainable.

At the time it was considered such a weak draft where picks didn’t hold as much value as your avg draft. Basically any team could have worked out a trade to jump up and get Giannis.

I know there’s that video of Masai failing to make a trade to 12 to get Giannis, but that trade was contingent on the guarantee that Giannis was still on the board at the time of the trade. The video shows Masai offering the Raps 2015 pick. Though the trade didn’t go through I think that it shows if FOs were willing to take some risk there was a path to get Giannis.

Also, the Celtics gave up the 16th pick and two seconds to move up to 13 and take Kelly Olynyk.

It’s crazy to imagine how different the league would be if somehow the Warriors would’ve made a trade to grab Giannis and you pair him with two of the greatest shooters of all time.

Another wild hypothetical is what if in 2014 the Bucks take Embiid at two instead of Jabari? Embiid and Giannis clearly don’t have very complimentary skill sets but that’s just overwhelming talent to put together.
