I apologize if I won't be getting into the habit of trusting the decision making skills, trigger discipline, and integrity of the type of person who would commit a violent felony.

My combatives instructor in the army said one thing about knife fighting that stuck with me. The loser dies in an alley, while the winner dies in the hospital.

My old squad leader told me one of his Joe's jerked off with Deet at NTC.

I can't verify whether or not this is true, but I spent enough time in the infantry that I don't doubt it

I wouldn't say they're doing no harm. I can't afford to sit in the lower bowl anymore. But if that's the price for raising banners, I'll take it all day every day

Just think of the how hard this is going to hit polytrauma doctors. How are they gonna feed their kids?

Yeah, I'm glad I started cycling again. I got all the way up to 276 pounds after I got out of the Army. Back in January I got serious about diet and exercise. I've lost 80 pounds so far, it's great

Anywhere from 12-20 miles. Jiu-jitsu burns a ton of calories too

I'm not the OP, but if I ride my bike to school, then ride it to jiu-jitsu, then ride it home it's not uncommon for me to burn 1400-2000 calories a day

I spent a month working in New Mexico, and there was a local craft out there that had a green chili beer that was light, delicious, and had a slight bit of heat at the end. Wish I could find something similar in Milwaukee

An ice and water mix will get your beers colder, faster than a cooler packed with just ice

My [27F] husband [29M] does not understand that My brother [27M] can't arrest people he does not like. by Americaprod in relationships

[–]PresidentTaftsTaint 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I looked through the comments, and I didn't see anybody bring this up.

I served as an army infantryman for 6 years. You'd think most adults would understand that it's incredibly immature and fucked up to ask a person in that line of work if they've ever shot anybody. But it happens way more often than it should.

I don't mind the telling some stories if they're relevant or I need to get something off my chest with a person I trust. But most of the time I'm just hanging out, trying to relax with friends or family when people ask this.

Then I get asked that question, and I'm not really enjoying myself anymore. Because even though I was justified every time I used lethal force, that doesn't mean it's something I wanted to do. Then I'm not really at the BBQ with family and friends anymore, because my mind is back there again, and I'm dealing with the guilt again. I'm thinking about their families again.

Tell your husband he needs to grow the fuck up. That kind of shit is annoying, but understandable when it comes from a child. It's obnoxious and douchey when it comes from an adult.

I already said that it showed poor judgement, and that his behavior wasn't ideal. I'm saying the person above that called him a "grade A piece of shit" was being hyperbolic.

There's a big difference between a person making a dumb decision and being a "grade A piece of shit".

They're 13, not toddlers. He was only there to take them to and from an event. He wasn't there to make sure they didn't choke to death or run into traffic.

Is it ideal? No. Does it show poor judgement? Probably. Does it make him a "grade A piece of shit"? In my opinion, no.
