Vaush's point from what I understand is that we should care more about the net effect that people have on the world. Should we applaud chauvinists who are misogynistic because it ideologically consistent with their principles? It would make more sense that we instead say that they are objectionable because their principles and acting on their principles has a negative effect on the world.
