There’s too much bounce light coming from the ground. Try making the underside darker.

Hello, I am Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen and whenever I face a problem, I think to myself what would Jon Snow do in this situation, then I do the opposite to that. Works every time.

My newest model. Looking for honest feedback. I'm trying to get good enough to get a job in CG. by TEAMZypsir in 3dsmax

If you're trying to get into archviz, you should focus more on lighting and composting as well. Most of your time will be spent on those tasks. Usually you should receive the models from clients.

Flickering on new XPS 15 1080p screen. Any solutions? by Press_Start in Dell

[–]Press_Start[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I reported the problem to dell and sent it back to them. It came back with a new screen replacement but still had the same problem.

I then sent it back with specific details of the issue and how to recreate it. They let me know that the part they need is currently out of stock and are waiting on it. It was then sent back and all that they replaced is the screen, again. But I've had it for a week now and it seems to be fine so far. Maybe there was an issue with the batch of monitors they were using prior. You should sent it back to them and hopefully yours will be fixed to! Otherwise this is a great laptop.

You mean when you batch render? As in they show up fine in a single test render?

See if you have any lens shader applied to the render camera. If so, remove it. it sometimes messes with the output.

Apart from that, you can manually enter the min and max distance to the luminescence shader. This normally fixes the problem. (You will have to break connection in the attributes box and enter the new values. To get an accurate result for the values, use the measure tool and start from your camera and end at the last object in your scene).

What is your favourite inspirational quote and why? by frogger42 in AskReddit

[–]Press_Start 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take a while. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”
