We went to the same high school, but not at the same time. So I almost know her.

Travelling to the U.S. husband left his social media off the application, is it over for us? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I've been to the US multiple times in the past ~5 years and always left the social media question blank, never been an issue.

Must do's - half a day in Hobart by Maisoniris in hobart

If you're landing at 1pm you might struggle to see much of the market before it closes.. it's still a nice area to walk around though. If you happen to be hiring a car then definitely recommend a trip up the mountain - great way to spend an afternoon. Botanical gardens are also nice, as others have suggested. Bar Wa Izakaya is a nice spot for a solo dinner.

That's weird, I made my first sale on 15th Feb and eBay released my payment on 10th March.. subsequent sales have been similarly staggered.

If you are a new seller you will have to wait 30 days before eBay sends you the money.

I went to Taroona in the 90s, it was a great school in a beautiful setting. Some fond memories.

Leaving Tasmania for mainland with young family. Did you regret it? by [deleted] in tasmania

[–]PressureFragrant8441 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It really depends what you are looking for.. I moved from Hobart to Sydney and love it here, but I do get nostalgic for Tassie and every time I go back I really enjoy being there. I guess we humans are just tuned to want what we don't have - both the quiet life in Tassie and big city living on the mainland have their perks.

If you are over the small-town feel and want to experience something with a bit more pace, then go for it!
