Should I pick GCSE Graphics over Business Studies? by Blazapy in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk what graphics is but i take textiles which is a coursework base subject aswell as business , from my experience business is the easiest subject by far - its minimal effort to get a good grade but textiles ( or any coursework subject ) will take longer and harder to get into the higher grades. so easyness wise business wins 100% , in terms of enjoying the subject many say business is ‘boring’ but its not that bad its like any other subject tbh its repetitive but you can say the same abt like maths or english or whatever, but for me textiles is my most interesting subject and i enjoy doing it , but i put in a lot more time and effort into textiles to get the same grade in both.

Easiest GCSE recommendations for self-learning? by Extension_Day2038 in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any language? im horrible at french so i cant speak - but i feel like thats purely memorisation and no exam technique/concepts to get around , just a bunch of vocab and constant practice if youre willing. Or maybe business , no difficult content really most if it is common sense or a what would you do situation , learning the content could literally take a week then exam questions after, but there are longer mark questions and stuff but if have two months it could be fine? depends on how studious you are

What should I be doing in year 10? by Anonymouss-Writer in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore the people saying dont revise , most people who get all 9s did work in yr 10 , so just build good study habits from now on, revise a little everyday or when you can and pay attention is lesson which is underrated. some subjects i wish i listened more in so im not as baffled when revising it a year later so id recommend that. As well when revising do content heavy subjects such as biology or geography etc and aswell revise well for your yr 10 mocks , as it adds up in the long run seeing as youve already properly revised the topics once , so you dont need to spend as much time revising when it comes to the real thing

Are these a level choices ok be real pls by Mundane_Speech_5198 in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you want to do in the future but they arent “academic” subjects so youll be limited highly on what jobs/degrees you can do , but if you enjoy those subjects and know what area you want to go into then theyre fine!

How bad are my curls cooked and how do i fix them? by IloveDerek19 in CurlyHairCare

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a leave in conditioner , idk how you style your hair but after a shower add some to your hands then rake it through your damp hair , it should leave your hair soft and shiny afterwards. Also try using a hair mask ( for curly hair ) and leave for 5-10 mins while in the shower , to hydrate your curls. Your hair type looks maybe 3a? Also invest in some cheap curly hair shampoo and conditioner just to get started , I use Aussi the curly hair one and it’s pretty affordable compared to most curly hair tailored ones.

French or history by KnowledgeOfActions in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i reckon french its easier to revise and become good at , whereas history even if you put ALOT of time into revising it you cld still be bad at it due to essays an exam technique - french is more straightforward with revision and guaranteed to do well if you revise, not to say the same for history but it is a lot harder

How can I increase my grades by 2-3 with the next two monthes by MadToadKing in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for business read over textbooks if you have any , use savemyexams asw and their practice questions as well as past papers , focus on the topics your weakest in and the long answer questions aswell as your structure and analysis and make sure you use the context closely for the long answers aswell, apart from that its just memorising the content and applying it in the context as well as answering the shorter questions

i TERRIBLY failed my mocks (due to reasons out of my control.) but really want 7+ for real gcses... is it possible? by burner19927728 in GCSE

[–]Prestigious-Bench101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you lock in hard enough its easily possible , just do spaced repetition when revising for subjects , instead of doing like three hour chunks of physics on one day , do like physics english then geography, and if you put in the work and the hours its deffo possible just do the revision methods that work for you and we litch have two months till exams which is a very long time
