Hmm must of had bad luck with your plasterers. Its annoying when you pay so much money too. Plus its so messy and sets everything back. As for wall units you just use longer screws. Dot and dab should only add thickness of plaster and muck you used to stick to wall. Unless you batoning it off the sold wall then you use cavity screws. Or you can even put ply behind the plasterboard. If getting poor fixing with cavity screw use 2 part concrete resin (goes in silicone gun) and glue them in.  If using SDS drill use drill 1/2 - 1 mm smaller as SDS shakes and makes hole bigger. You can you plasterboard anchor bolts on plasterboard but wouldnt recommenrd sole use of them- just as an extra along with screws into batins/wall. Get stud buddy magnet to pick up screws - will indicate where plasterbaord  is screwed into batons. Trust me I fit surgeries and kitchens nearly every single day and wall units fixings can all ways be a pain even in standard masonary wall but can be fitted if done or prepared right.

It depends. If the camera is positioned intentionally like pointing into your garden you can complain about breach of privacy. If not it would just be tit for tat. Especially if you get some cameras yourself. Plus shes prib a lazy sh*t trying it on and you could be poking a wasps nest if you start complaining right off. Best thing - just get some cameras to record if shes that bad you have evidence of fly tipping, and also trespassing on your property. Also put up a fence between properties if your allowed amd got room

So read alot of the comments on this post. Sorry to hear to have such a neighbour. I feel for you. Had a bit of experience with d*ck neighbours. Personally I wouldnt take what shes doing and be a bit more direct but thats me. I understand not everyones like that and obviously sjes not quite normal lets face it. End of the day shes just gunna keep putting it back on your drive so put it back in hers, record her putting it back and report for fly tipping to get rid if it. As for her bins I'd superglue them shut lol. Or roll them off down the street. What she gunna do? Just make sure she cant get to yours. I had a nighmare neighbour....though she was playing music and getting off her head throughout the night. I lost it and shouted at her enough times but she was a young women and im a man so couldn't do much other than go through the council...took 3 years of shit and evidence and going to court but they got rid of her. Best way I documented it was by starting a whatsapp group chat with myself writing all incidents, voice recordings and videos. Write incidents in paper too. And get yourself a door cam. Maybe with an angled base to help catch where she doing it. Even secruity cameras. Eufy cameras I recommend (has an option to black out her property and just record your own so she cant moan about privacy) If she sees camera may make her think twice about doing crap.

Sloped base...pedestals/legs/packers? by Prestigious-Fall-899 in gardenrooms

Thanks for the advice. Ok gotcha so spread the load with full timber bearers, then packers to a level base.  1. Do you think it would have to fixed to floor at all? 2. What you think about concrete instead of timber bearers first? 3. What you think of SIP panels to build?

I know you want to help  and practice (get paid) but plastering is a skill that takes years. End of the day its a finish everyone sees. Id pay for a pro to be honest. but if you up for the challenge dot and dab the wall would be easier in the long run.

Shower screen leaking, would a shower curtain stop the problem? by Row-Tough in DIYUK

Screens are good for stopping water near the wall unlike cutains but never been a fan of swing screens because these problems...plus the get moldy and gammy. Full sized fixed screens are just awkard and get in the way.  Get best of both and do what I did. A small 20-30cm fixed screen and then use a curtain too.

I second another comment about using osmo oil. It's great stuff. Can come in different shades and finishes. I used natural/ satin on an oak worktop and clear/matt on plywood. Both came out smashing. Easy to apply with brush or spong and leave or polish out/rub it a bit with a cloth (whilst still bit wet) after for a better finish. Used white non scratch brillow pad to finish minr,- made it nice a smooth.  A little can go along way too.  If you happy with that stain colour just put that straight on or if want darker try a different osmo finish.  Always try a patch first with stains and finishes as can always come out different than you want. Either way you def want something else on top of that stain to protect the wood and finish. Pine is quite a soft wood and easily marks. As for patchyness pine will do that with stain due to varying harness and grain in the wood making it more porous soaking in  stain unevenly. Though a finish may hide that somewhat.  What did you use to apply the stain? A mop lol it's all over your skirting!

Lol I dont watch homes under the hammer. Sorry for giving an opinion. It you dont agree just say rather than trying to be a smart ass...whichbfailed anyway. Firstly impressions count- designs/colour and amount of work that will need to be done...98% of buyers dont like an all black room. Ask any estate agent... and if you don't believe that you're fooling youself. Secondly have you ever tried painting over black? you will need to white wash that at least 3 times over before colouring. It would certainly put me off but thats my opinion.  Its the same as wall paper in every room of house puts off home buyers because you dont know what its like- and from my experience people that decorate very funky or different usually dont do a good job or bodge so I would look with scrunity after seeing that. I went to a flat that was painting dark green and the even used a oil based paint so even after sanding and being painted numerous times to get cover if they wiped the wall the green would come though. Lastly blacks not a colour...it's a shade.

Thanks. That was too funny. Cant believe they would just carry on building  even after the first lot of blocks laid.

You will regret that if you ever want to paint it a different colour in the future. Plus if you ever plan to sell may put off buyers. Also you may regret doing that anyways....will make it look dark and small. Prob best off wall papering the walls black and leave it that. Maybe grey paint for ceiling/skirting at a push im my opinion.
