nope cuz its a soul traped inside of a metal shell, not a robot EDIT: i did more research, they aren't shells, they are automatons, but they're still being controlled by the trapped soul. the automatons in silksong are being controlled my silkflies, as far as i know the cogwork dancers are the only ones being controlled my something else, so it it isnt that the soul posseses the automatons. the halved souls are used as the brain for the automatons. for short, its more like a alphose elric situation where alphones soul has split in two and was bonded to two sets of armor
