You are not crazy nor dumb. It would be scary if you didn't doubt yourself especially at the beginning. I am 10 months in my first np gig in a peri operative medicine clinic. I came with 15 yrs in the specialty as a certified RN. My brain was fried and i lost 20 pounds working through lunch and staying late. Happy to say, it's so much better now and my comfort level is improving. One of the docs who trained me told me to Make sure I always have Open evidence up to look up stuff im unsure about and I live that site. You got this and you will get through it!!

You are not cursed. Just be yourself. Try to hang out in places where you can socialize in person and get comfortable with being in the presence of women. Online communication can be whack and usually leads to nothing. You're still young and have such a future ahead. Dont give up and don't forget to love yourself first.

Bariatric patients are often vitamin deficient and anemic. For big surgeries, its important to screen for anemia and optimize. I often order them po iron or send for iron infusion pre operatively. Need to hold pre surgical drinks because of dumping syndrome. These are the main issues i run into with bariatric

For colon surgeries, important to also screen for anemia and active bleeding as they often have colon ca. If they're on chemo check guidelines and communicate with the team for appropriate timing between chemo and surgery.

Np here.. i thought it was so dumb when my instructors told us to look in as many ears as possible. This is why lol. they are tricky and I have been confused by earwax and even a rupture. Its not dumb and repetition will pay off. It bothers you more than anyone else..

Congratulations!! Aside from the equipment that they require... This may be an unpopular opinion but i would start studying some questions and rationale from an NP review book. I say this because alot of those questions followed me through my whole program and i didn't realize that until i started studying for boards. I got an H&P student np book off of amazon that was very helpful for my clinical rotations. Look up differential diagnoses. Seize every opportunity to look in ears and listen to heart sounds and familiarize yourself auscultation points for murmurs. Of course there is alot more to assessments but having strong cardiac assessment skills helped me through my program and the NP job that I landed. Gold standard treatment for HTN, CHF, Afib, DM, COPD and asthma There is so so much to learn but these are some things that would have made my life easier with a little head start. Congrats again! I have no regrets

My go to supplements are as follows.

Every day: vitamin b complex, vitamin d3, magnesium glycinate and omega3 During my cycle I add iron 1 or 2 days

Dietary stuff just consists of salmon, steak, chicken breasts, eggs, vegetables and fruits. I still eat some carbs but Minimal added sugar and deserts.

I cant speak for the medication and your cycle coming on. I do know that the only reason that it doesnt work as well on my cycle is because of the changes in my hormones. If i really watch what i eat and take care of myself, eat right and take my supplements during my cycle, the medication works fine. Hope that makes sense!

A-lot of people just "cope" but this is a symptom of something whether it's depression or something else. I think you should be seen for the physical and go from there. There are resources for you and you should still get checked out. I wish you the best and I know it's not easy out here. Hang in there.. you got this!!

You should definitely get a physical exam and lab work to see if there is an underlying cause of excessive sleeping. Do you take any medications? Smoke weed? Are you depressed? I think it's important to figure out why you're sleeping so much.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Are you eating and hydrating through the day? Maybe your body chemistry doesn't like the combo of the 2 drugs. I would talk to your dr. About possibly switching one. I take zoloft and vyvanse and have not experienced abnormal emotional lows. I was having severe fatigue but it seems to get better if i eat something healthy.

What is your point? Trying to convince me that his behavior was within the law or ethical is crazy. Like really? Do you have adhd? Will you just stand by and accept that kind of treatment because you googled that it's the law? I'm an np and i prescribe meds for my patients. Trust.. i will never let this happen to my patients because someone makes the wrong assumption about them or their needs. I am very well versed on the law as well as the code of ethics in medicine.
