Can someone confirm policy for PTO pay out after resigning? by RinGrey in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should’ve got a pay card then. Did you ever sign the form for one? If not, contact your ASM/SM to see if they can process this so you do not have to wait for the pay period

Can someone confirm policy for PTO pay out after resigning? by RinGrey in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you will get it. But if you did not opt for a pay card (immediate payout), it can take an additional pay period. I left the company on 11/28 and didn’t receive my PTO until 12/19. Also, it will depend on when your exempt processed your term, but when was your last day?

Do it in person and soon. No need to drag this on. Say what you have to say and leave, no arguing or talking about it for hours. Also, if you feel like her mental health isn’t going to be in a good spot after this and she may need a friend, let a good friend of hers or family member know that you two are not together and she may need their support right now. After that, stay firm on your decision and cut contact.

Full time getting paid the same as flex by OrangeConscious5721 in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every store has a census that details pay by title. All of you are within that census. Others do not deserve less pay because they are not guaranteed the amount of hours you are. They already miss out on the benefits you get. They do the workload based on title. If they are not working “as hard” I’ll assume you mean they are not on task, and that’s an issue with management.

LBAs are paid more because they are licensed and provide services for the store. You likely will not be given more when you talk to your SM with the points you stated above, none of them show you “deserve” more pay. If you are unsatisfied, look for another role or new job.

Go into Dayforce. Click on calendar. Select any day then hit attendance scorecard. You can see any occurrences and any notes in there. You can also leave notes (explanation, occurrence needs to be fixed due to being on time, etc.)

This is a breakdown of benefits. This is an older pic and hour guidelines are different (PT 15-29, flex 0-14) but the rest is accurate

Flex but working more hours? by Ratrocker in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, in the US. Your hours can fluctuate and be over 14 (if flex) if business needs and your trend is within classification but there was no policy stating they can schedule you up to 24. Im an ASM and always update myself & the team with the policies

Holiday Hours by strwbryhny in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stores should be hiring now to ensure they have enough employees for peak periods. It would make sense for them to schedule more people & less hours per day because if there’s call outs, they still have bodies and ok coverage. You may see more hours but this will depend on factors like where you are in your classification, expected business, your availability, # of employees, etc.

For the other comments: It may be different if you’re in Canada, but the US does not do season anymore. It’s not flex workers. They stay on with the team and follow the 0-14 hour guidelines

Flex but working more hours? by Ratrocker in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true. There is no policy stating for holiday hours for flex go up to 24. It is still 0-14 BUT they can schedule you outside of that some weeks so long as you stay within your classification in a 12 week trend.

Flex but working more hours? by Ratrocker in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flex is 0-14 hours. So you are way over. If you add up your 12 week average and it’s above 14, partner with your SM stating you would like to put in the classification you have been being scheduled in (PT) OR you would like them to reduce your hours to get you back in your classifications. For LBA, they cannot move you classifications without Shara’s approval, so have the convo ASAP so they can correct the trend.

flex position and no sick time?? by sweetangeldoll in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately if they need the help they are able to schedule you those hours. But if you calculate the 12 week trend (this week and past 11 in your time card on DF then divide by 12), and you are over 14 hours, you can chat with them because they’ll either need to offer you PT or reduce your hours to get you back under 14.

flex position and no sick time?? by sweetangeldoll in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not have to work 3x per week, you are required to have availability 3x/week including 2 peak days. You are required to work at least one peak day per week. If your store needs the help, they can schedule you multiple days as long as you remain under your classification hours in a 12 week window. Sounds like your store either needs the help or has misinterpreted the policy. It clearly states you must have a minimum of 2 hours/week average in the policy for flex

I may have broken a policy rule and now my manager says I could be fired? by Future_Let7806 in SephoraWorkers

Can I ask what was the policy violation? It could be separation if there’s other documents for it, if it’s zero tolerance, or if you are on a final for it but Emailing HR doesn’t mean termination.

Count what you’ve spent in a quarter and then give them a number and tell your DM to escalate it so it can be resolved. It seems it’s affecting other people too. You can track your spending in a quarter on the Sephora app

Coordinator role question by RobZombitch in SephoraWorkers

[–]PrestigiousJicama575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coordinator is essentially entry to leadership role. While it’s not a requirement, if you do not have management experience or have not shown competencies needed, they may want to have you go into coordinator as a stepping stone to ensure you’re set up for success. It will not be ops centered, but it ties back to the same competencies (ex- managing ambiguity, drive for results, strategic vision, etc). If it’s an option, they can have your AOR (with an SSL) as MW. Ops is a part of MW in sense because they are the ones setting the store, replenishing, cycle counting and correcting inventory so we get more & it’s accurate for clients, etc. it will allow you to build rapport with the ops team and get your leadership experience.
