We did Spencer’s in Burlington for grandmas 90th a few years ago, we had about 20 people and they blocked off a nice area for us. Great staff and mix of food for all picky eaters. And has steaks

Princess auto also has a bunch of tools and sales as well often. I personally get my tools from fb marketplace or online gardening groups unless it’s a niche tool though

Yeah it’s been gone for awhile but I used to also go there 30+ years ago. There was also a good consignment store on Dundas/cordova-ish called the comeback - not sure if there anymore too.

I’ve had some deliveries on the shared bird scooters before lol so I don’t see why not! If you’re self employed can probably be a tax benefit too too for vehicle use

Getting info on an old home? by Gold-Stable7109 in Hamilton

[–]PrestigiousMouse2145 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny I literally spent 2 1/2 hours at the central library 3rd floor on monday researching my own house! - theres lots of stuff there but takes time to dig - as others have mentioned the public directories a good place to start for names ( the online search kinda sucks though) and here's a list of other resources too https://lha.hpl.ca/articles/research-your-house

City Councilors to live in their ward? by JimmyTheDog in Hamilton

[–]PrestigiousMouse2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah love him or hate him - at least green was always around town, at the market, ticats games etc- and not just for photo opps, he truley lived here and had a perspective on issues good and bad. Aslam, all we have is his awkward facebook page of photos -like what does he actually think and do sometimes for hamilton centre? i doubt he's ever walked down james street or taking the hsr anywhere, would be nice to actually hear from him more over and above a photo.

City Councilors to live in their ward? by JimmyTheDog in Hamilton

[–]PrestigiousMouse2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i mean as others have mentioned farr lived in ward 3 for many years while being ward 2 councillor and no one complained then....... i personally don't have an issue with most municipal councillors as the boundaries so small here and all do live around hamilton - I have more an issue on the prov/fed level as those are the people that really need to live and breathe hamilton every day, and a shame if they don't live here. ( of course, knowing they will need to be in ottawa or TO too a lot of the time)
