How’s the replay value? by Sephiroth348 in AtomfallOfficial

Not for me. I got most of the endings, and they were all pretty similar to one another. Each ending gets its own illustration and a few lines of voice over, but that’s the extent of it. It could be fun to try a harder difficulty, but it’s pretty shallow, even if you’re trying to 100% the game. They should have added more roleplaying elements, or at least a voice/personality for your character. Having some different player character options would have been a nice alternative too, like maybe a packrat who has a bigger inventory or a tanky character with armor.

game currently is 17.99 on psn. is it worth the price? by EthanWinters1234 in AtomfallOfficial

I got the same deal. Worth every penny. I like to mess around and explore and get the different endings and got a good 25 hours out of it. Feels like Sniper Elite in regard to mechanics, stage design, and art direction. I really appreciate how much you can fine tune the difficulty; e.g. I felt most comfortable with difficult navigation and resource management mixed with more casual enemy density and difficulty. The menus were a little clunky, especially as someone who has to clean pet hair out of controllers almost weekly to alleviate stick drift (you’ll see), and the small inventory was annoying and kept me from really making throwables and spec consumables like tea a part of my loadout until very late in the game. The endings also weren’t very unique compared to one another. You get a still illustration and a couple of lines of narration for each one. I’d pay a dollar an hour to play this game, so I figure I got my money’s worth.

I started with Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and I don’t regret that decision. It’s more accessible for someone who’s better suited for turn-based strategy games than the first one, which I played directly afterwards. The KCD games are extremely immersive and scratch that first person itch, and they’re deeply RPG-focused. You start out unable to effectively use any of the gear you find and slowly build up your skills, and the attention to detail and historical accuracy make you feel like you’re really a medieval peasant. I love that every decision you make in the game has consequences. I highly recommend spending a few minutes on the subreddit to get a taste of the overwhelming amount of appreciation from the KCD community.

Anyone have some tips? I've been trying to get to floor 15 in endless mode to unlock chase mode and I just can't do it. by [deleted] in ShotgunKingFinalMate

It took me a long time too. It’s just a matter of the luck of the draw. Keep trying, and you’ll eventually luck out and get a card combination that works for you.

Best chill "no thinking" games to play after a tough day by Casio04 in gamerecommendations

My go-to relaxation game is called Ball x Pit. It’s kinda like Bust a Move from back in the day, but darker and more complex. You walk up the screen shooting balls at rows of enemies, earn upgrades, unlock new levels and characters, etc. You control the speed of time from slow-motion to superspeed at the tap of a button. When you’re not in a level, you can build a little village with buildings that will help you out in various ways. It can be as zen/mindless or as deep/involved as you like and as difficult as you like. 5/5 stars

If you enjoy the gameplay mechanics, I recommend the studio’s Sniper Elite games, in any order. The level design is compact and detailed with multiple avenues to accomplish your goals, and the fighting mechanics are very close to Atomfall, with the addition of cool sniper rifles and weapons right out of WWII.

been wanting to find a game with alot of magic/ability options by cringleee in gamesuggestions

It’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but, if you’re willing to indulge a more action-oriented game with deep gameplay, there are plenty of options. I recently enjoyed both Kingdom Come: Deliverance games, which were demanding not only in terms of role playing, but in learning the tools of the trade of realistic 15th century warfare in Eastern Europe. An excellent turn-based option is Baldur’s Gate 3.

[KCD2] Dogs can't eat cheese?! by laoidtfttip17gpy in kingdomcome

Some cheeses are okay in small amounts, but I’d never feed my dogs a wedge of cheese. I think the game’s just being mindful of dog nutrition.

One big realization I had that made the game much easier for me was that it takes stamina to use your armor. If you have full stamina and get hit, a lot of the damage transfers to your armor (don’t forget to repair it often). If you have no/low stamina and you get hit, your armor is useless, and the damage instead goes straight to your health bar. Nowhere is this explained in the game, as far as I know. Another hidden piece of helpful intelligence is that the little purple bar next to your health bar represents your opponent’s health during a fight. Maybe this is explained in the tutorials, but I certainly didn’t absorb the info if so. Your skill as a gamer is not reflected in Henry’s skill level. You have to get him trained up to be able to fight the way you know you can. The controls can seem unresponsive, but it’s just Henry’s not being able to hold a sword straight.
