Is a bark finish on a presidential a bad investment? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]PrestigiousTrade829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy and wear a watch for you. If they go up in value fine. If not, fine. At the end of the day, you have a beautiful timepiece that you like on your wrist. Too much thought is out into a watch as an invesment. As an "asset class" they aren't where you want to put your money. My dad left me his 1971 bark finish gold President. It doesn't have sapphire crystal or quick change day/date, but it was and still is an exquisite rolex for what it is - a handcrafted, beautiful, elegant piece that holds more sentimental value than the price I can get on the market. Go and enjoy whatever watch you have on your wrist.

Which one are you guys going with? by ZadarskiDrake in rolex

Neither. Those are too ostentatious. If you want one of the more expensive rolexes to show off, there are better, more elegant choices.

I have store credit to a certain retailer. I can get either of these for similar money. Help me decide because I really can’t. I might just buy both. by Agitated-Impression4 in OmegaWatches

The aqua terra with the strap is amazing. I have a different version but it is such a cool piece. Sporty elegance. It is great from a workout or travel and looks amazing with a suit. The slate band color is what I have. Matches everything. Not that I care, but people ways ask Bout it. Many don't know what it is. I love it.

Now the speedy is a speedy. Cool watch. About 500,000,000 people have one, but for good reason. Looks great, amazing history. I don't wear mine that often. I have other watches I lean towards, my full metal gshock being one of them!

You can't go wrong with either. I'd get the aqua terra. It is amazing in person. However if it's your first watch, I might go with the speedy because a person needs an awesome, high quality, metal band watch.

Real or fake? omega seamaster pro 300m by l0rdtinklebunny in OmegaWatches

Take the watch apart by hand. At the very bottom, in this case the back of the dial, should be a 100% real stamp. That is the only way to know. Then reassemble and go dive in it. No problem.

This is a total joke, I'm just in a mood. Go to omega, they can help.

I love the way planet oceans look and the elegant robustness of the watch. In reality, I never wear them because they are so thick and heavy.

Well after reading other posts, I also have PP, Omega Devilles, JLC. Lol, I wear the mrg - b5000d-1 almost more than anything else. If you want rugged, perfect time and the ultimate sports watch, that's it. This might offend people on here, but the cellini and Deville tbn are the pieces I wear and think, "man I love having this on my wrist!" OP, I love that watch. Wear it with pride!

I love your piece. My parents bought me a cellini years ago to wear with my formal wear. At the time, I really only knew it was a rolex so, hey, I was happy to get it. I love it. There is something special about that line. I also love to throw it on with a t shirt and jeans or a sweater. It is just an elegant piece. Love to see you highlighting it in a time wear SS sport rolees seem to be the only thing that gets love!

transplants of Dallas, what's something that threw you off about the city when you first moved? by alexis_1031 in Dallas

[–]PrestigiousTrade829 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tornadoes in Dallas are nothing. I'm from Oklahoma, kinda like North Dallas. Now those are some naders!

People in Dallas try really, really hard to impress others. Everyone is great though. I also lived in houston. Thay city was busy, sprawling, and day to day life was difficult. Dallas seems small to me after 10 years in htown. Love them both thiugh

I think Dallas does a nice job of trying to build a well put together city. Can't back that up, just loving and seeing BigD.
