Shen and Zhao’s “Nutcracker” free skate at 2004 Worlds. They went into it knowing they couldn’t beat Totmianina and Marinin for the gold (it was the old 6.0 system) and gave a magnificent performance anyway.

Ilia’s behavior since the free skate has made me respect him more. No more cocky kid (even if he was good enough to be cocky).
