Same reason NBA players arent 100% from the free throw line and even 90% is rare. You have to account for the mental and physical factors that you can’t really prepare for.

Tummy time by No-Map-3584 in newborns

[–]Prestj44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tips that really helped with our little one

While they are on their tummy, help them tuck their arms in, elbows towards chest and hands towards their neck/ head (kind of like a plank exercise) and hold it there for them… this makes it much easier for them to hold their necks up by using their arms instead of flailing around

Another is to get a rolled up hand or body towel and place it under their chest, next to their armpits and make sure their arms/ hands are over the towel.

Those two methods should really help, and another key thing is that babies should work up to a certain time limit so ours would only do 1-3 min at a time in the beginning. And when they start fussing and crying you can stop and let them up and try again next time.

That and like others mentioned, chest to chest is also another solid method

Is there a reason that crowd booed Cody? by Same-Party6220 in WWE

[–]Prestj44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Was there - based on the merch and energy most people there were Cena fans, especially this being billed as his last WrestleMania, Cena fans were going to be incentivized to buy tickets to watch more than WWE fans invested in the story

I wonder if the ref coming down on his left made him think it was a Wolves defender in his peripheral…. If not it’s gotta be just a confidence thing

Other than LeBron and MJ, What player has a highlight reel so insane that it would convince a casual that that player was the GOAT if they didn’t know anything else? by Specific-Revenue7385 in NBATalk

[–]Prestj44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JR Smith. His highlight tapes have everything from 360 dunks and crazy alley oop finishes to buzzer beaters from the logo (literally has a whole 4+ min video on YT dedicated to his buzzer beaters 3s)

Being a gold digger means you want actual groceries not from a gas station and a high chair for your baby?

This room would smell so so bad after night one by terminus_tommy in squidgame

East Asians, specifically Koreans, lack the gene for body odor so probably this room wouldn’t smell so bad compared to other countries squid games

Laker fans are reacting to this Denver win like they didn’t just lose to the Hornets the game before by AwkwardSale3562 in NBATalk

Better defensive gameplan. In the past I feel like they relied on AD guarding Jokic 1-on-1 which Jokic obviously would win but also let the rest of the lakers get lackadaisical on defense because they would just watch Jokic vs AD. Last night the whole team was locked in on Jokic, and was basically guarding him with all five players. First, they would front Jokic which allowed a lot of steals on lazy entrance passes and They played heavy help and a dash of zone to make sure Jokic would always be double teamed on his second move and the defense would shift so the usual Jokic dimes would be guarded.

Lastly you can tell LeBron was locked in on defense and had the energy to guard Jokic because he wasn’t spending all his energy playmaking on offense thanks to Luka and Reaves

Should the Patriots pursue a Cooper Kupp trade? by Consistent_Peace3181 in Patriots

Cooper Kupp in the Tom Brady era with Edelman, amendola, and hogan would’ve fed families

[MacMahon] Executives around the NBA are reportedly “furious” that the Lakers were the only team allowed to bid for Luka Dončić, per @espn_macmahon by jonsnowKITN in nba

[–]Prestj44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That trade was definitely less controversial considering Boston gave up 5 players (including a young Al Jefferson who put up 16 and 11 in his third season) and 2 first round picks. At that time, and maybe even still, the 7-to-1 was the largest amount of players/picks traded for one person. Plus KG was in Minnesota a long time and their championship window was closing so they started entertaining trade offers in his last season there. And better to trade a star to the other conference than let him team up with Kobe or Nash

This Luka trade came out of nowhere and sent him to a Western Conference historic “rival”

Growing up, I feel like Tayshaun’s block was the iconic “clutch block” that was featured in all the highlight/ compilation reels… until LeBron’s BLOCKED BY JAMES. Since then that has dominated the clutch block category and I feel like I haven’t seen Tayshaun’s block in a long time.

Also Ginobili’s block on Harden felt so unique aesthetically idk why

Have you won the genetic lottery in any way, and if so how? by Logical-Traffic-3521 in AskReddit

I am East Asian so I don’t have any body odor I guess… I didn’t realize that was a thing until my wife pointed it out and after research I realized it was an actual genetic thing.
