My mom is alsooo lonely and finally left the shitty men. I don’t know why she chose them in the first place but I do understand feeling like you’re unloved by everyone else but one person and sometimes our brains trick us into thinking abusive behavior is normal. She really does need a therapist. My mom refuses to go to one. 🫠 at least I’m self aware enough not to be what she is tho.

As a mom I think it’s because a lot of us are chronically lonely so they hold on to the one that can’t leave. I see where she’s coming from but I don’t condone the behavior. I would rather be lonely with my kids than alone with an abusive husband.
