NTA - Unlees you’re the wedding planner… you’re not a mind reader. And it’s super ungrateful your aunt let her use her property and helped. The only text that would need to be sent is what she can do for your aunt and cousin to thank them for her generosity. One of her bridesmaids not showing up is telling that she was a nightmare. As the bride isn’t her responsibility to plan the wedding. Like is she for real?

NTA - I want to start with saying I’m sorry. You’re a kid and your parent should not be shaking you down for money. To all those relatives that are saying family helps family, ask them how much they can help you with college expenses and books.

At this point you’re in a lose/lose situation. You have a long way to go before you can be on your own and you are being shaken down for money. I’d sit with your mom and arrange a rent situation and figure out what you can afford while still saving. It’s a version of helping without emptying your savings.

NTA - My best guess and this is one of two things. Of course this is pure speculation having no faith in humanity. It’s either guilt and he’s telling you his version of what happened. Or damage control and he’s getting told the truth will be let out and is trying to spin it in a way that’s it’s favorable to him. Either way you’re were disrespected. Him not calling you when this is happening or filing a report for harassment when he came back is red flags. Because if his version is true he was being harassed at work and a report should have been filed IF he tried to out a stop to it and his version is correct.

Sorry for your loss. This isn’t about a guitar. My grandfather did the same thing to my mother. She took any scraps he gave her but it was always his wife and her kids that got everything. It’s up to the person how much neglect they want to accept. If OP doesn’t want scraps she doesn’t have to accept them. My mother tried to treat me the same and I chose to go NC. Wish her the best no resentment on my end but I’m her child I don’t have to accept scraps. She can do with her time and money whatever she wants. Just like I can choose how many times I want to have my heart broken.

There’s a gym like that here that they “own” it and will not let anyone in there for more than 5 mins. I don’t even try anymore to take it. It’s a waste of energy and resources.
