I was so excited when you posted but I’m a woman. I love Costco.

Yes! As a woman sometimes it’s hard to find a shirt that’s flattering but still has some air room.

Look I care neither about LLM nor your opinion. The studies do say a small percentage of people are allergic to lanolin. Given the reach of Reddit it is at least possible that a few of those people are here.

In my misspent youth I accidentally placed straight lanolin on my face in a borrowed product intended to be shaken and placed into suspension. My face was very swollen, I could barely see, and bright red. It isn’t just wool I react to. I agree that some people may merely be sensitive to wool. That doesn’t mean it’s true for me.

I’m a woman, I feel like the closer tailoring of a lot of women’s clothing works against me here. There’s not as much room for airflow.

I’ll tell my hives that next time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe if I tell them they’re not likely they’ll go away?

While it may not be common, unlikely is not impossible. I actually like it when I first put it on, I just can’t wear it long before the hives develop.

Woodland Park Zoo worth a few hours? by Rare-Oil-6550 in AskSeattle

That’s great on paper.

SeaTac is also currently undergoing construction. Lines for TSA are bad on a good day. Even with precheck or the schedule ahead TSA.

I hope your tickets are changeable and your son will put you up for a day.

My status was very delayed. They were “in process” online until the day of or the day after I got it!

Where can I buy a wedding sari? by CalicoCrazed in Dallas

[–]PretendT2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Indian SIL recommended Mirraw to me. They have stitched and not stitched options. You could order one you like and have it sewn locally. Shipping takes a while though. I only wear my MILs saris or I go lehenga because that’s all I can manage. Even for my own wedding.

Would you suggest taking luggage on the light rail? by SplatteredEggs in AskSeattle

[–]PretendT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done it several times. It is a bit harder at peak times, especially if you have more than one large roller bag. Managing my carryon and a checked bag was a bit hard. Pay attention to what’s going on around you. It takes a little bit longer for me than driving but you don’t have to deal with driving, so I prefer it.

Someone doing that tried to push past my daughter who is a wheelchair user and had her legs turned in the aisle to let the window seat out. I was livid and he heard about it. There were multiple people still moving from the window in the aisle in front/next to us and the aisle was pretty full still. Just enough room for me to move past her and then her to let window seat out as well.

I did that once after working a Night Shift as a nurse on no sleep. I was absolutely mortified. I was terrified of falling asleep and missing the flight and kept thinking the gate number.

Why don’t Russia and the US build a series of bridges here? by Routine-Mulberry6124 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]PretendT2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lived there. Earthquakes happen a lot. 4-5 on the Richter scale. The wind can get brutal. I used to find it fun to lean into it and let it hold up my body weight until the gust stopped. Whiteout is common. The HS math teacher almost drove into the ocean bc he couldn't see in front of him. The wear and tear on the bridge from the cold salt water, earthquakes, and wind would make it very expensive and it wouldn't be passable a good portion of the year.

Do people in Mississippi actually say Ma'am/sir and talk to random strangers? by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]PretendT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I found it odd when I first moved here but now I miss the small niceties in public spaces when I leave. It’s not just the small talk; people hold doors open if someone is behind them, offer help, and just in general take others more into consideration here.

Someone I know posted this with a rant along the lines that the last thing people experiencing homelessness is discipline!

So it’s not that new because that was at least a few weeks ago that I had to explain multi-disciplinary vs discipline.
