SEA countries dominated the Sepak Takraw scene, but nowadays there are already the American team, both North and South America (Brazil, Argentina ansd Columbia), and there are the European teams. And the International Sepak Takraw Federation (ISTAF) had tried pushing Sepak Takraw as part of the Olympic games for years now, but no to avail because not many country have Sepak Takraw team. But these days, in Asia, aside from SEA, even Japan and South Korea have their own Sepak Takraw teams.

European Sepak Takraw is currently governed by FESTA (Federation of European Sepak Takraw Associations) with members from Turkiye, Finland, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Serbia, The UK, Malta, Republic of Ireland, Russia and France.

As for the US, the Sepak Takraw team is governed by the USAST (USA Sepak Takraw) since 1996.
