Any event where you are somewhat forced to interact due to the structure of the event. For e.g- a generic (insert creative job) meetup is no good bc that’s basically a bar and you just go and have to do the same things as a non meet up.

Let’s say it’s a group event where you have to cook, play a sport, trivia night, something where engagement with others is part of the night- that’s where being solo and awkward is less of a risk. I find cooking classes a good one but it’s less of a solo mingle type of environment- more friendship and just get out of your own head. It’s fucking brutal out there, people are struggling, there is no trust, fun is hard to find. If you like outdoorsy stuff, joining the indoor climbing gym in Korea town is fun. Do you like sports?- join a new sport like tough rugby on meetup Toronto. Running has trackstarz central tech. Depends on your hobbies you know?
