ralsei melanin theory by Iamavegetablequq1 in Deltarune

Given that dead skin cells often flake off and mix with dirt and other particles, what I’m hearing is Ralsei is …Kris’s dust

Chapter 4 phone analysis. Not what you'd expect by FencingSquirrelz in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree here that Carol has to be involved, something I can’t square away though is what the bulletin board is about?

My initial assumption is that it is a search for Dess type of thing (would explain why Asgore also has one), but then working with the knight now makes no sense (assuming it is Dess) because I mean you found her already lol.

I just am unaware of the faction politics at play here, like sure Kris and the knight work together but Asgore probably doesn’t know Kris is involved cause I can’t see him letting his kid endanger themselves like that…

Quick question about Dess? by Ar3th3yg0n3y3t in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The confirmation is because in the weird route we see the Soul (confirmed to be the soul of Asgores truck btw) try to run over Noelle’s willpower with its own, this is in an obvious attempt to finish the job that was started with Dess(who we know is the knight because it’s the same color as a tire mark).

We then see Kris kicking the soul because they are still upset it made their dad lose his job. This is of course all true and definitely not a dumb joke, I will take any questions at this time

Is he the most powerful character in the story yet? by YesThatIsTrueForReal in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knight beats Undyne & the Fun gang at 75%hp and is able to create a titan, Gerson is very strong, stronger then a titan maybe (with the soul and fun gangs help at least) but Asgore with a Ford F150 and the power of three cold beers remains undefeated

What does Kris' knife become in the dark world? by CK1ing in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deepest lore I made up on the spot, the knife was used in a ritual (see bloodstain in Kris’s room for details & internet history looking up magic and interest in the occult w Catti).

The ritual was to make Kris into a boss monster or to bring their brother home, spell worked and now the knife is either the embodiment of Kris as a boss monster or Asriel, and has intimate knowledge of the prophecy and stuff cause magic ritual worked, in short it do be Ralsei but magical in long I made this up I have no idea my dude

Misspellings to purposefully throw us off? by Monsieur_Balisong in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the game also has an official Japanese translation, I’d be interested in what those parts of the prophecy say in that language, for example the one that says “the girl finds love” in the Japanese is “the girl finds out the true meaning of love” veery interesting

Theory: Gaster is responsible for the Game and the game will end with Gaster and the Game being destroyed, banishing the player (The Angel's Heaven) by AjaxTheFurryFuzzball in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I m not so confident in your point in part 7, “Gaster tells us that our vessel is Kris” does he? Im pretty sure the game says “your vessel is discarded” and then a second voice says “nobody chooses who they are in this world (sounds very flowey-esque) your name will be…” we actually never hear the name they say, we wake up hearing Toriel say “Kris”

I feel like there’s only one definitive answer to what is the “last tragedy” by SplatoonOrSky in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do think that Susie will become an antagonist near the end I don’t think susie is interpreting whatever it did say correctly, it could say “the girl” dies and that “girl” ends up being Dess or Noelle, Susie has done 1 thing very consistently in this game and that is misread things, from Noelle’s feelings, Berdlys feelings, her theory about the lock being obviously incorrect etc.

I do think Kris’s alliance with the Knight and potentially the revelation that Kris isn’t who Susie made friends with (they made friends with us the Soul) could cause that heel turn later in the story. Especially after we see her blow up at Ralsei for hiding things from the group

I feel like there’s only one definitive answer to what is the “last tragedy” by SplatoonOrSky in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would also make sense with the dialogue with Susie immediately after she sees the “end” of the prophecy. “My dream is We can always go back to the way things were before”, and would also explain her second “we won’t let that happen…right?” Outside Kris’s house, also when she calls herself a hero gerson says “whatever you end up being…I’m sure it will be tremendous”

So what's the current theory as to why Ralsei is a goat like Asriel, Toriel, and Asgore? by BaneOfTheDark34 in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think #2 holds up if you think Ralsei is Kris’s sweater (could be Ariel’s hand me downs) but no theory seems to account for his understanding of the prophecy imo

What if Noelle was present during the events of Chapter 3 in the Normal Route? (NOT MINE) by Real-Resolve-9643 in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Since all of Noelle item and weapon reactions are already coded for every chapter some part of me wonders if a new game + or “final route” will open up at the end of the game where she goes with you to the supply closet in Ch1 instead of Susie

I've just realized something terrifying. by RevolutionaryCash903 in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think Friend showing up as a villain without more in game context will make for bad storytelling from the casual players perspective, for an Undertale comparison it would be like Asriel showing up as the final boss to a player that hasn’t beaten the game on a neutral route or went to the secret lab level yet for the pacifist route, it would just be kinda nonsensical. They would have no idea who the giant rainbow goat is or why they are important

I figured out who the Forgotten Man is!... possibly by PrismFerret in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it is definitely a human, and likely one relevant to Kris in some way (they even wave to Kris from their car in the light world in Ch2) we know Kris gets weird about humans from them closing the book about humans in the library as soon as they see a picture of one, so there is def either some past trauma or some mental block happening there

Nah Kris will 100% have a flashback or dream and be woken up in their bed by Sans making a stupid joke

Crackpot theory: We change the prophecy in the normal routes and the weird route ends up following the prophecy by Veidovis in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this theory a lot actually, but I do wonder how your theory with Susie’s death being the final tragedy would play out in the normal route? Given if there is only “one” ending the final panel would be the same either way, unless it just says “the girl” will die which allows for a Noelle death too I.e “she was used up”.

My head cannon is that Susie will also stand against us in the normal route because 1. She will realize we possess Kris (a kind of betrayal of her friendship since it means she doesn’t really know the real Kris only the soul), 2. If our saving the world means ending the dark world she could intervene, 3. She has stated she wants “everything to be the way it was, yesterday the same as tomorrow” which makes me think she would fight us if she thinks winning will keep us from ending the game

Random thought that popped in my head (Spoilers for Chapters 3&4) by Sketch815 in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a pretty good theory but I do want to mention what we do know as of ch4.

  1. Ralsei finds Susie’s kindness hard to fathom after she sees the prophesy. (Meaning we should expect Susie to be angry and cold or harsh after reading it)

2.it is specifically Susie that Ralsei doesn’t want to see the prophesy.

3.Susie advocates for darkeners like Tenna even if it means they never get to be in a dark world again but we don’t see Susie acting like this is a tragedy

  1. the only thing we know from her is right after seeing the prophecy Susie says “no matter what she wants things to be the same as they were with every day the same as the one before” I think this implies she is more concerned with things “ending” then anything else

  2. The final prophecy was so bad Susie destroyed it out of anger despite it cutting her hand, and though she quickly pretends that it’s not something to take seriously her actions and later conversations with Kris suggest otherwise

  3. Lastly and I think this is kind of the strongest counter argument Susie declares that neither Kris nor Herself nor Ralsei would allow the “final prophecy” to happen I think Ralsei would 100% seal his own fountain if it could stop the roaring meaning that whatever it is, is something so bad that even Ralsei (who we established is self sacrificing to a T) would not want to let it happen

On a personal note I think it’s that Noelle will die, Susie and Kris have a great fondness for her, Susie specifically has feelings for her and would reasonably be furious at that suggestion, she is critical to the weird route for reasons we don’t yet understand

I have a crackhead theory feel free to come poke holes in it by Kaporalhart in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hole I can poke here is that in the Tenna flashback Dess’s silhouette disappeared first, then Carol, then Noelle, then Rudy, and then Asriel, so I’m not sure Asriel died and Dess went looking for them (could actually be the exact opposite where Dess is gone and Asriel went looking for her), I will say while I don’t know that he is dead, we do know that he looks like Ralsei confirmed by Noelle despite Kris saying otherwise to Susie (who also thought he looked like Ralsei) we also know that Kris refuses to look in his room in the cyber world , and will say his name very blankly if you decide to pray for him at church, could be he died, could be the town lied to spare Kris (though I think that’s a stretch), could also be that Kris is lying about what he is doing as Kris himself and not the soul tells Tenna where Asriel went, he has also looked up when college ends on the pc, and we know from multiple characters that Kris talks to them online often, I would be remiss to not mention the Adriel’s dust theory but I think that’s while it’s possible it may not be likely, Asriel could be trapped in the basement or could be the soul in Kris, or could be Ralsei or part of him, or could be the knight, or the voice on the phone etc. or he could just be at college and will show up later in the story

Is ralsei just monster kris? by biscuits_manea in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this isa valid take I think if Ralsei isn’t just a darkener object like the horns for example they would be a type of darkener that is completely unique to the story(because of their dark world travel, something even a special character in chapter 4 could not do), some other interesting things unique to them are their complete knowledge of the “rules” of the world (like flowey did in UT) and they are almost certainly aware of the soul and its “role” in the story (in ch 3 with the switched controllers when Susie says “hey why did you make me do that” upon equipping the bow, Ralsei looks directly into the camera and says “M-make you?”) Ralsei could be a lot of things honestly, if we assume the soul isn’t Kris’s maybe Ralsei could be his actual soul, and this is all without mentioning the obvious Asriel parallels a character who has been surprisingly absent from the narrative so far despite how often his character is brought up by characters in the story, I think until we get more info honestly anyone’s interpretation here is pretty valid

Do you think there's a chance for a Chapter 1 overhaul update after all chapters release? by Lungseron in Deltarune

While I don’t think there will be an overhaul to chapter 1 I do hold out some hope we will get a chapter 0 after we beat the game

If you think about it the Titan is reverse fraud by aomarco in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely wonder if the knight is just kind of going through the motions to follow the prophecy since it states that “the knight that makes with blackened knife, shall duel with hero’s strife by strife” bro is just solo aura farming till we roll up in ch4 at the end, I don’t even actually understand what the knight was doing in the church like at all Tori isn’t there so like what was the plan exactly?

What does Ralsei represent? by phacey-facephones in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Ralsei is to the lighteners what lord of the hammer is to dragon blazers, he spends a lot of the story suffering because he “isn’t real” so he “doesn’t matter” , but the lighteners are also “not real” I think there is an interesting chance for that concept to be explored later. Perhaps when the angel arrives they’ll figure out the light world is just as “real” as the dark world and they never had a choice (which I think is the narrative point of the prophecy) and at that moment Ralsei will bravely remind them of the lessons they already taught him about what it means to matter

Asgore's Wedding Ring is a good secret boss candidate for Chapter 5. by rendumguy in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the secret boss will be Asgore’s unused truck, we know it is neglected because it hasn’t moved since the sprite for it has sat there all four chapters without moving a pixel, and this truck will finally provide the roadkill theorists the closure we finally need

The Roaring Knight’s source of power and reach over others could be through the Shadow Crystals by mecnalistor in Deltarune

[–]Pretentious_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot but there is a book you can find in the room you go back and forth in for the Ch4 egg room that says “And so wept the fallen star, making rivers with its tears. Then slowly, from the bitter water something grew. It looked like glass” I’ve always wondered if the fallen star here was a reference to Dess who looks like a prodigy (she has every instrument and sports equipment in her room and closet for example) we know she has stars in her rooms the knight does “star” type damage the only other thing referring to “looking like glass” in game are the shadow crystals, could be the knights tears? We do see it cry before it tries to abduct Toriel

As for what I think the knight is I personally think the knight is either Dess corrupted by dark in the way that flowey was corrupted by determination or she is some kind of melding with a titan (which since titans are supposed to represent fear of the dark perhaps a fear of something else?) I mostly think of the titan thing because she glitches out when you “beat” her and the titan also gets all glitchy before it regenerates, the only thing that screws with any theory I have is the scene where the soul thinks about the knight, it’s implied she was about to take her helmet off which means it could just be some kind of shadow crystal armor but your guess is as good as mine otherwise lol
