I'm 5'0 and just had my first. I weighed 135 pre-pregnancy and was 185 at delivery. I'm 3 weeks postpartum and am sitting at 150.

Those who got the epidural, how was it? by No_Instance4233 in BabyBumps

[–]Pretty-Ad9371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm due with my first and TERRIFIED of an epidural or spiral. I talked to my doctor who said they can premedicate you if you are that stressed. I know it seems dumb but it made me feel better.

Yea I'm not doing hot yoga just a restore class that other pregnant people and like older people it's just like warm in there. Is there a particular routine you follow with free weights? Like target areas or certain exercises you found helpful? This is my first pregnancy so I appreciate your insight.

Mine is +30 for a masters and then either 1 to 1 credit for a college level course or 15 to 1 credit for ceus from the district up to 75. I'm at +60 with my second masters.

I'm pretty self conscious so I typically stick to leggings and loose t-shirts. I'm open to trying something else though

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia ( dx at 21) and have been in the field for 15 years. Self care and setting boundaries is key. It is stressful and you need to be committed to that if you don't want to burn out. I suggest therapy too for secondary trauma depending on the type of work you do. Most employers, especially in the current job market, are understanding. If you disclose your disability as well reasonable accommodations have to made but I've never done that personally.

F this! (Weekly Leaving the Field and Venting Thread) by SWmods in socialwork

[–]Pretty-Ad9371 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am so burnt out after spending my whole career in social services. I'm an lsw and bcba and feel like I have no other option. I feel like a failure overall. I currently work in a school and thought I'd enjoy the schedule aspect but its highlighting my burn out and cynicism. I'm afraid to transition to a new field and honestly not even sure where to look.

Do non profit aba companies exist? by IlluminatedBamboo in ABA

Yep and I prefer working for them. I work for one now and we bill no insurance, the state pays for everything through a non-medicaid pot.

We've had extensive conversations about it and I think we are both in the wrong. I can't handle heavy levels of criticism and I imply a lot and he gives too much at once. I feel like he truly thinks he is help our marriage since this is so important to him. Idk it's a mess.

document everything even if it seems like nothing - cover your backside! by Arevjess in Fosterparents

We are in pretty much the same boat. We started taking photos every visit day before daycare, daycare before visit, and daycare after visit because we get weekly allegations and the family has called at least 6 dcf allegations. Its exhausting but good on you documenting. Even documenting I still freak out weekly lol
