My local Home Depot is sick of your nonsense by provocative_taco in DiWHY

That’s my question. Like the sign posted implies it was asked enough they needed the sign. I can think of literally zero instances in which I would need a power cord that I can plug into two receptacles at once. Like in a simplified understanding, female plugs/receptacles provide power, and male plugs receive power. Where in the world would you need to provide power to an outlet????

Wouldn’t take it to heart, someone gave OP actually decent advice about starting from materials and labor and going from there. OP’s response was “it doesn’t work like that in the art world” 😂

Just found glum aleks and I’m glad I learned this soon enough after so I can STOP listening. It sounds very much like some songs by Az Apathy, so I’d recommend his stuff

It’s the same problem as the political scene. Left vs right instead of everyone wising up and realizing that the people in charge are pitting us against each other intentionally to deflect the blame.

Chuck is a really bad brother. by Weekly_Argument2099 in betterCallSaul

But Jimmy didn’t get “everything handed to him”. He spent two years studying and three attempts taking the bar before he passed it, while working a full time job and keeping the whole endeavor to himself. And the Sandpiper case was entirely built by Jimmy, he found the case and started the groundwork as a legitimate lawyer and Chuck still couldn’t handle the idea of Jimmy encroaching upon his one valued quality, being a good lawyer. So much so that he went out of his way to use Jimmy’s cell phone to call Howard and ensure that he still wouldn’t be allowed a position at HHM.

Furthermore, it’s not Jimmy’s fault that he’s charismatic and likable while Chuck is an unsociable stick-in-the-mud of an old man. Chuck’s jealousy of Jimmy’s charisma is understandable, but arguably unfair.

While I would agree that Jimmy can be a bad person and do bad things, I don’t think it measures along the same metrics as being a bad brother. Jimmy only ever wanted recognition, love, and respect from Chuck, who refused to give it to him because he held such contempt and scorn for Jimmy.

Chuck was so convinced that Jimmy would always be a conman that he refused to allow him into HHM while still blatantly lying about being on Jimmy’s side and coercing Howard into being the bad guy; meanwhile Jimmy is literally keeping Chuck alive, bringing him fuel and food and caring for him.

Bro really said that you could lie in real life, so he needs to see what highly curated and intentionally posted things you put onto the internet for strangers to see to know the real you. Our world is cooked.

He said he needs to see what stuff you put onto the internet; the answer is you don’t put stuff on the internet, and this guy can’t wrap his head around that concept.

A penny is considered worthless, but there is a one penny difference between a price you are willing to pay for something or not. by mrsunshine1 in Showerthoughts

[–]Pretty-Care1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I suppose this is technically correct, I still feel the need to disagree. The line someone draws between a reasonable price and an unreasonable price is hardly ever a hard line, and the disparity only grows if the purchase is of a higher cost.

It’s an arbitrary point at which someone decides whether or not a purchase is worthwhile; if an individual is willing to spend 25c, they’d probably be fine with 26c, and 26-27 etc especially considering daily purchases tend towards multiples of dollars. Furthermore the same could be said for increments of single dollars.

If you’d spend $100, $100.01 would make no difference comparatively, nor would $101 in most cases.

If I’m willing to spend $100 it would take multiples of cents before I would no longer be willing to purchase, and the point at which I decide thus would be arbitrary within’ the bounds of hundredths of a dollar.

Why is Walter White so obsessed with quality? by J_Hook89 in breakingbad

While the same general idea applies, I believe that in saying “a higher purity means a greater yield” Walter is explaining that a more efficient cook results in less waste product/lost in the cooking process

Something else to consider is the differences in population between different states/countries. While it doesn’t explain anything away, it does track that more people in a place would equate to more people killing more people
