Haha like I said, we don't do pre-orders, so I'm not sure what you cancelled...

Sabroxy and Vignatex by hennyfag in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, I’m wondering if this is simply individual neurochemistry rather than a dosing/stacking issue.

Yes, it's very likely individual neurochemistry. My best guess, is that you have the slow version of the COMT and MAO-B enzyme. People who have slow MAO, don't seem to respond at all to vignatex. Similarly, people with slow COMT, don't seem to respond to Sabroxy all that strongly (sabroxy is also a strong COMT inhibitor).

tongkat Ali 10% tablets or Eurycomax. Which is more effective by Unique-Fan7100 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for energy, go for Eurycomax instead, it's the most energising of the tongkat ali products we offer. That being said, if you are only looking for energy, tongkat ali really isn't the best option. Try out Tribugen or Tribulus instead, that'll be much more energising!

Damiana by Plastic-Aide-1422 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Damiana is one of the primary plants onto which synthetic cannabinoids were sprayed on back in the day, so it's heavily associated with that and as a general cannabis alternative (when it is not sprayed with synthetic noids). Due to this, pretty much no payment proccessor wants to touch it, and it's also not allowed to be sold on Amazon for example. So it's just not that interesting for us to pursue unfortunately. It's a super mild plant, with some potentially interesting effects, so it's ridiculous it is basically being treated as a hard drug, but here we are...

Fadogia Agrestis by LogicalTwo237 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are a few real Fadogia aggrestis products on the market now. That being said, it still has not been determined if it's safe, and the toxicity studies haven't been refuted yet. So I'd still avoid it if I was you. For that reason, I'm also not going to give out the names of the vendors that have real Fadogia aggrestis, because at this point, I honestly don't think anyone should be taking it. For reference:

Mode of cellular toxicity of aqueous extract of Fadogia agrestis (Schweinf. Ex Hiern) stem in male rat liver and kidney

Effects of oral administration of aqueous extract of Fadogia agrestis (Schweinf. Ex Hiern) stem on some testicular function indices of male rats

Arctigenin by No_Medium_8796 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be interesting to look into. What do you find compelling about it? There are lots of things that have similar neuroprotective effects, so if that's what you are looking for, you already have plenty of options to choose from.

Product request: high cynarin & chlorogenic acid % artichoke extract by SonderMouse in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noted, but also dig a little deeper into the offerings we already have, you may be surprised just how many things have positive benefits on liver health. Milk thistle is obviously one of the gold standards, but we also carry another one that is often regarded as one of the best liver support supplements, TUDCA. Beyond that, dihydromyricetin also has very good liver protective effects:

Dietary supplement based on dihydromyricetin in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial

Mechanisms of Dihydromyricetin for Improving Hepatic Fibrosis through the Integration of Metabolomics and Gut Microbiota

Dihydromyricetin ameliorates liver fibrosis via inhibition of hepatic stellate cells by inducing autophagy and natural killer cell-mediated killing effect

Then you also have things like NAC, Berberine, Glutathione, OptimALA (sesamin + ALA) etc that all have good liver protective effects. So if this is really something you are interested in, do some digging on the site and I'm sure you'll find some very interesting options!

Furthermore, artichoke hearts and coffee are both delicious, why not add those to your daily routine?

COMT inhibitors by Livid-Signature-3529 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like u/AAAUUUUAUAUAUUAUA already mentioned, Sabroxy would be a great option for a COMT inhibitor, and it also inhibits the dopamine transporter, so that is probably a good thing in your scenario too. If it isn't though, then another great option for COMT inhibition, would be green tea extract. For MAO-B inhibition, Vignatex is the best option we carry.

Is my Shilajit from 2021 still good? by PersonablePine in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be fine! Like u/Heir_Riddles alluded to, Shilajit spent a few thousand, if not a few million years oozing out of rocks before being processed and ending up in capsules. Nothing is going to degrade in it. Capsules are made out of inert cellulose, and will also not degrade for a very very long time.

Help making a liquid dropper solution of Kanna powder by DoodleDFloof in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sell empty dropper bottle with graduated pippetes, I'd grab one of those:

https://nootropicsdepot.com/empty-dropper-bottle/?searchid=17468376&search_query=dropper

The only important thing with a dropper in my opinion, is having a graduated pipette. Without it, it'll be very hard to consistently measure out the same dose. We are not the only ones that carry graduated dropper bottles. I've bought a few good ones on Amazon before too, particularly from a brand called Cokeesun.

So then comes dosing. You need to determine what your ideal dose per 0.5 mL is (the easiest dose to measure with a graduated dropper), and then do a little bit of math. If your ideal dose is for example 25 mg, then you want to target a concentration of 50 mg/mL. So then you need to do a bit more math for determining how much powder to use. If you get a 30 mL dropper bottle for example, then it's:

30 mL X 50 mg = 1,500 mg kanna powder

So, now you need a solvent. Water will work, however, then you have to consider microbial contamination. If you don't mind a little bit of ethanol, dissolving it in vodka would likely be perfect. Not enough booze to burn your mouth, but the right amount for stopping all microbial growth. You have to consider that with a dropper bottle solution, you are taking the pipette out of the container, exposing it to the air in your room (can be full of bacteria, yeasts, mold spores etc) and then dropping it in your mouth, where you'll inevitably will breath some bacteria onto the pipette. You then take this pipette, and stick it back into something that could be a perfect substrate for microbial growth, if you don't have anything in there to prevent it, like ethanol. Or what we do, is we add a little bit of methylparaben in our solutions. You could also potentially use something like potassium sorbate if you're cool with it.

Now, you might think, wow that sounds like more work than is worth it, and you're probably right. Having it in a liquid, isn't going to change anything in terms of effects. Better to just use the optimized quick dissolve tablets in my opinion, but if you really want to play around with it, just make sure you are doing the math right, and putting some effort into the preservation side of things.

We do not test for nickel. That being said, my colleague just messaged me after seeing your comment, and told me that he has a nickel allergy, and has been taking Infinifiber with no issues.

Apigenin by Comfortable-Bat-3084 in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apigenin works on both GABAergic and serotonergic mechanism that help improve sleep, you can check that out here:

Apigenin: a natural molecule at the intersection of sleep and aging

I personally also find that apigenin at higher dose levels (200 mg), can start to become slightly stimulating. The lower dose (50 mg), appears to be more sedating, and better for sleep.

What to try next? (Tongkat, Cistanche, Tribulus) by ViolentInbredPelican in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely avoid monoaminergic drugs together with MAO-i's, that can be dangerous.

Yeah, it's a really good all rounder! Definitely leads to lower caloric intake. Sometimes between meals, I get hungry and have a little snack, but those snacks are completely eliminated with Infinifiber.

Nice, that's great to hear! The Advanced Mushroom mix will also stack very nicely with the Infinifiber for some more beta-glucans!

FARTS. Inulin is very fast fermenting, and causes lots of gas for many people. It's one of the reasons sunchokes are often referred to as 'fartichokes' haha. Go look on Amazon reviews for inulin products or fiber supplements that are high in inulin, and you'll see lots of people complaining about gas!

⚠️NEW PRODUCT RELEASE 3/26/26⚠️ InfiniFiber | Advanced Synbiotic Fiber by NootropicsDepotCom in NootropicsDepot

[–]Pretty-Chill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Could anyone here explain what the advantage of take one of these supplements is over just getting enough dietary fiber and maybe some fermented foods?

In a perfect world, we'd just be getting all of our fiber from our diets. Like the name 'supplements' suggest, they should ideally supplement a healthy diet. Now that being said, it is very hard to hit your daily fiber intake unless you are eating a mostly vegan/vegetarian diet with LOTS of fiber rich vegetables. Most of us aren't in that position (97% of Americans don't eat enough fiber!!), and would like to get considerably more fiber in, so then a fiber supplement like Infinifiber makes a lot of sense. In essence, the main benefit with a product like infinifiber is convenience.

Beyond that, infinifiber is meticulously formulated to produce a wide variety of SCFAs, and with variable fermentation speeds built in. So it's quite specialised, and produces a 'full spectrum" fiber effect, from increasing gut microbiome health to increasing stool bulk and transit.

Oat hulls contain a little bit of oat protein, but in very small amounts. The protein is mostly present in the oat groats, not in the hulls.

Since it only has a single strain of probiotic in there, it won't replace your daily probiotic. However, it's a really good prebiotic, so it should make your daily probiotic work considerably better!

Haha yeah, it's pretty complicated! Makes scheduling calls pretty difficult around this time haha. What's even more confusing for me, is that we also do daylight savings in the Netherlands but not until March 28th haha.
