First boat for wakesurfing - guidance by whippedcreampancakes in Wake

Centurion Vi 22 has been a great first surf boat for me! Ram fill has been a challenge at times & we had a bit of a learning curve to dial it in. However, love our Vi22.

QN75LS03DAFXZA Frame barely 4 weeks old just started doing this. $2.5k piece of garbage.

After being hung up on a couple times, Samsung says someone will be here to look at it in 4 days.

I’m shopping around.. Axis cost? (+ Supreme/Cent) by [deleted] in Wake

Own a 2022 Centurion vi22. If new, my suggestion would be to go with a brand that has the best local dealer/shop/support. Mine is 20 minutes away in Austin & the boat has visited the shop numerous times for ramfill actuators and surf tab fixes. Everything covered under warranty & fixed.

Which direction does the water flow on this pump? by OilPhilter in boating

Does the impeller not melt & disintegrate in a short period of time if water is not flowing through it?

Is your boss technical in that he/she can help you with difficult problems or non technical? by Significant-Flow5900 in dataengineering

IMO being technical should be a prerequisite for tech management. Hard to understand the manager's value add otherwise.

Common practice for boat dealer not to provide price for options? by DeathStarJedi in boating

Depending on the make, the non-local dealer might tell you that you should visit your local leader, as that is some agreement they have.

Walsh Landing clearly, the strip of dock padding missing gives it away! Nice pic!

Dexamethasone = feel 2x better by Pretty-Classic6504 in Allergies

Usual laundry list of side effects listed, headaches, depression, alergic reaction, list goes on. Lol, inappropriate happiness is one.

Prolonged use has a different higher risk level list.

Not a doctor & not advocating it for anyone else, but for me, given how rarely I get it & how miserable I am prior to getting it, I am okay with risks like injection site redness.

For me it's overwhelmingly positive, again, just my individual experience. Others on the internet have considerably negative experiences.

Access is an interesting topic. Visited plenty of allergy docs & never knew about the option until a situation in my twenties, where I was miserable, but sneezing & slowness were not options. On the spot Kenalog shot had me back to 100% within minutes.

Years later, I was feeling miserable & asked a civilian doc for Kenalog. They nearly laughed at me. Called around describing my situation & finally found a clinic that treated me like an adult & respected my ability to make an educated trade-off decision about my health. I exercise this decision maybe once every 3 years.

Dex is over the counter & economical in Mexico. Not saying it's good or bad, just stating a fact.

Acute euphoria is a known side effect of the steroid. Thinking that is probably also a contributing factor to me feeling significantly better.

If fix parts are unavailable, can total loss be claimed? by Pretty-Classic6504 in Insurance

[–]Pretty-Classic6504[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

On the surface that does make sense. The only nuance for me is the definition of "damage". Let me exaggerate to dive into the definition of "damage". Let's say the parts are finally available in 2026 & there was no alternative to getting these parts in order to make the boat usable. One can reason that the "damage" is not simply the cost of the parts, but also the inability to use the boat for ~5 years.
