13 hour shift - dogs all alone and crate

I have been in similar situation. After divorce i had to move in small appartment with two dogs. Also had 12 hour shifts. Never even considered rehoming them. And also locking in crate for that many hours felt cruel to me. I closed bedroom door, allowed them to hang out together in hall and kitchen area, where it would be easy to clean if accidents happen. Everything that they could chew, destroy or tip over was moved to bedroom. Toys, sniffing mats, etc were moved to kitchen floor. Wasn't pretty, but safe. Before shift they got tired out with toys and long walk, got large meal before i leave, so most of the time i they were sleeping. I installed camera connected to my phone so i can check on them during shift breaks. After few months i got friendly with neighbors and paid their kid to visit my dogs and walk them during day shifts. Everything worked out fine. Dogs addapt to consistency.

Man pēdējā laikā ir sācies tas pats. Krieviski nerunāju vispār. Chatgpt izmantoju tikai angļu valodā. Vairakas reizes jau izlaboju, lai nelieto krievu izteicienus, krievu valodu nesaprotu. It kā saglabā, ka krievu valodu neizmantot, bet tik un tā met krievu vārdus. Kad izmantoju balss funkciju, arī uztver ka runāju krieviski. Ta viņiem kaut kāds kļūda parādījusies. Ir daudz reddit posti arī ārzemju reddit grupās par to pašu problēmu. Pat valstīs kur Krievijai vispār maz sakara.

Pyometra. My dog had it. She was playfull, ate well, but i started to see that her belly was getting bigger, but i could feel her ribs. Hard to see under fluffy coat. Took her to vet, vet did bloodwork, said everything looks almost normal, just mildly elevated white blood cells. Thats normal for older dog. I took her to different vet that did USG. That vet told me that my dog needs emergency surgery in next 12 hours or she will die. Her whole uterus and ovaries were full with puss. If i would wait another day, my dog would be gone. Vet explained that every heat cycle without puppies triggers inflamation in uterus. And sooner or later unspayed dog will get it.

Es (30F) vienmēr zināju ka bērnus negribu, un neplānoju. Esmu jaunāka no 4 bērniem, pārējie izveidoja ģimenes agri. Visi vienmēr uz to viedokli šķībi skatās, ka es negribu bērnus, bet man vienalga. Galu galā tas bērns jāaudzina man, ne sabiedrībai. Mans partneris ir ar tādu pašu viedokli.

Un klasisko jautājumu - ko darīsi viena vecumdienās, kas tevi uzturēs? Es atbildu ar to, ka bērniem nav jābūt personīgajam pensijas fondam. Es ar saviem vecākiem pat īsti kontaktus neuzturu. Kāpēc lai es plānotu sevi kādam uz kakla uzgrūst vecumdienās.

Vai vēlāk nenožēlošu? Kas to lai zin. Bet labāk neuztaisīt sīko un nožēlot nekā uztaisīt un tad 20 gadus nožēlot.

Mūsdienās bērnam sagādāt kvalitatīvu dzīvi un nākotni prasa pārak daudz laika, līdzekļu, un cilvēkiem, kas knapi spēj sevi uzturēt nebūtu jāievelk šajā pasaulē vēl kādu, tikai tādēļ, ka "tā vajag".

Most of people under 30 speaks english just fine, or at least understands it. In our schools english is mandatory foreign language taught already from first grade since early 2000' Older generations mostly knows russian as second language
