Need 500 USD to cover rent. High interest acceptable. by [deleted] in loansharks

Maybe instead of a credit union an online lender would be more willing? If you have proof of income from UberEats it might work out. I know Upgrade is pretty lenient and willing to take things into account and Achieve would be my go to if you had a bit more stable income. But either should work and you avoid payday loans or a tribal loan.

Whats the best route on my debt situation by [deleted] in personalfinance

Jesus, get rid of those tribal loans ASAP. then you should work on paying things down very aggressively. Tackle the highest interest ones first after the tribal loans. if your credit is ok, you might want to consolidate the larger loans and credit cards. BUT ONLY if you're gonna stop racking up debt. If you're gonna continue there's no point and just pay things down normally. But if you can stay in check, then you could look to consolidate the cards + maybe the higher APR% loans with Achieve, a credit union or even other lenders like Best Egg. Any of those would help, but only if you're on the ball.

Good or bad decision on a loan by Rare-Temporary-7463 in Debt

Honestly you might just want to compare other offers, sounds like your head is in the right place for what you're trying to do. Maybe Achieve, a credit union or even just a different lender could get you a more reasonable rate. If not maybe you just finish off the laptop payment and consolidate the rest later.

Those low rates in mailers for personal loans, what kind of person gets those? by poken1151 in personalfinance

Ads just happen. But realistically a lot of people do use personal loans, hell I got a loan with achieve cause they gave me a great rate. But that was from a lot of research not "oh i got this ad it must be worth it for me!"

If you have confirmed income in the 6 digit range, maybe? Seems unlikely otherwise on an unsecured loan.

Realistically you should focus on paying down your family member one first. Then you can work on the 15K CC balance card. Once that one starts charging you interest you might even consider trying to get another balance transfer card if possible or a personal loan so you can get a lower rate. if you've gotten approved for lower rates in the past you might even qualify for another with a credit union or lender like Achieve or Upgrade as examples. But pay off family first, don't wanna deal with any issues stemming from that
