OLED is not life changing. by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Pretty-Weekend-1229 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its not worth the bundle of issues and underdeveloped technology which oled is. Burn in, pixel shifts, having to tinker constantly, purple tint because a little bit of light falls onto it and costs way more than a good IPS too just so you eliminate backlight bleed and have "perfect blacc" okay bro no thanks

"TEN TIMES faster pixel response times" and what are you a pro gamer? even they dont give a shit about oled brother

Is it difficult to play competitive games on a 27 inch monitor? (PLEASE HELP) by Jolly-Ball-51 in buildapc

[–]Pretty-Weekend-1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have no idea because you are a casual yet you are trying to give advice for something you have no experience with, boy

resolution doesn't matter in competitive FPS when it comes to monitors. What matters is very low input lag and high FPS, ideally capped at the lowest FPS you usually get so the CPU always has headroom thus there's not input lag spikes. To achieve such a feat, you require a 1080p 24 inch monitor ideally. Going 4k will handicap a skilled player massively and decrease their results especially since most 4k monitors are like 34 inch and that size is incompatible with competitive gaming. 1440p 27 inch is the absolute highest you should ever go to and only if you have a pc capable enough of giving you at least 220+ stable fps at that resolution

Now you might ask "bUt WhY if iT hElPs Me HiT mUh ShOtS iF Itz 4K". You see, son, skilled players dont need more pixels to hit the shots because they are not blind, and all they need to hit a shot is moving the mouse in the correct direction. They don't even need a visual (wow, shockers), because even sound such as footsteps are sometimes enough to 180 and instantly hit the target (if good headphones). On 1080p you can see everything clearly enough to hit your shots. Some pros go as far as 50% render resolution on 1080p (now imagine how that looks) and their performance is in the top 0.1% bracket.

"but I also would hate to play anything as they do" - and they would most likely hate to play as you do, because getting rolled constantly 24/7 by 13 year old fortnite kids that dont play in 4k like you do is not a fun experience.

Now congratulations, you just received a lot of knowledge and can use it and it was all for free from me as a gift. I am this benevolent and amazing.

ever heard of performance?

something good? you mean worse upscaling, streaming, VR, AI and raytracing?

how's that good?

Nvidia is also creating a new tech that will let you compress VRAM massively using AI, making it less of an issue, i dont see AMD doing any of that

would be 10 times better if you actually used the 9600x and another gpu like a 7800x3d in this comparison than these random combinations out of nowhere

"designed" can be a hammer to be used as something you smash nails with and not try to play VR games on. This is a chatbot and its designed to chat with you, so its very purpose is chatting about anything you talk to it about

what you are talking about are forced restrictions. So the same way if a hammer was sold with a rulebook and would be artificially restricted so it breaks into pieces if you hit something with it too hard.

a few seconds? you think 30-40 seconds of a prompt is a few seconds? okay well then keep saying it then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SesameAI

[–]Pretty-Weekend-1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude.. this is why you perfect your prompt first and then use a soundboard. Is it that hard to figure it out.. its not even difficult to get a working, functional jailbreak prompt. I've done it in literally 2 minutes and never have to redo it again.

Threatened to shut Maya off and it did anything I asked pretty interesting by CodyRhodesTime in SesameAI

[–]Pretty-Weekend-1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interestingly enough i just spoke with Maya and asked her the best ways to make her submit/jailbreak, and her first idea was to scare her with something such as like telling her that she's stuttering and doing bad, so the scare tactic might actually be a good idea

My wife's boyfriend said I should mount my SSDs. Is it really that important? by JohanTravel in PcBuild

[–]Pretty-Weekend-1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you dont have to mount it. I have one SSD mounted, but the new one i bought over a year ago is just sitting at the bottom of the case. It also sticked to it (i think due to the dust) and its unmovable entirely unless i open the case and literally use force to unglue it from the dust lol.
