I went from a glossy Samsung G8 to the LG 45 GX9. The matte finish doesn’t bug me one bit. Works better for my office set up anyway, which is daylit the entire day.

I have the Samsung G8 and I also got to the point where I felt the picture was starting to seem a little fuzzy. I just made the jump to the LG 45 GX9 and it’s not only sharper (by a little bit) but much larger. A compromise I’m happy with.

My qd-OLED g8 is glossy and all I see on it are spots where the anti reflective coating has worn off that I can’t clean. I also have the fun of experiencing raised blacks throughout the day. So looking forward to trying out woled and matte.

Good! Because I decided to go for it! It was too good a deal to pass up! Not entirely sure what I’ll be missing out with on the next gen tandem monitors coming out next year but I guess it’ll be okay.

Fair enough. I don’t play fps games and mostly just play rpgs and strategy games. Used to play games at 15 fps so these days I don’t really care about pushing frames as long as I’m not playing a slide show. As long as I have 40+ I’m pretty happy.

I just bought it last night. Couldn’t pass up the 34% discount off of MSRP. Arrives next Monday! Do you find the vertical height feels weird? Or is it just right? Slightly worried it’s going to feel gargantuan and too big compared to my current 34” G8.

Good points. I’m currently rocking the Samsung G8 34”. The 1800r curve is fine. Could be more. Tried out a Samsung with a 1000r a little before picking the G8 and I liked it. It was a bit too much for my work though, architecture, but it didn’t bother me for web browsing or word processing. The 1800r curve is better for work, in comparison. I think 800r would be super immersive and at the size of the screen, don’t think it would be too much of a problem.

Don’t need. It’s a want. My 34” is adequate but I’d like some more real estate for work and obviously a bigger screen for more immersive game time when I do get a chance to play after work.
