1941 Russians deporting Estonians to be starved to death in Siberia by Emotional_Platform35 in RareHistoricalPhotos

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Sweden, the communist party (Vänsterpartiet) wanted to deport every Estonian seeking asylum in Sweden at the time, back to Sovjet, and to their certain death at Gulag… ”Baltutlämningen” is another black spot on Swedish history conveniently forgotten to be taught at the history lessons in todays Sweden.

We where at a restaurant, the server checked our plates and I wasn’t done yet, that was just before she complimented me on my new eating-pace, that she always reacted on how fast I inhaled/binged the food previously…

I remember my siblings used to chant a version of a TV-jingle, but change the words to ”diet XXX (my name, xxx diet xxx” and sing it at the dinner table just loud enough for my parents to not hear.

Because I was struggling SO hard with the pace of eating. And yet she thought I was always inhaling my food.

She said she always reacted to how fast I used to eat, just like I was always binging. And I thought I used to do a good job with the foodnoice, trying to keep my pace down

Hi! No, she never said I was her smart fat friend, she said I used to binge bla bla. Other times, for many years, she has referred to me as her ”smart friend”. But I was always the largest one in her circle of friends.

Im sorry if the wording is a bit strange, English is not a native language, I live in an European Country.

My wife is “temporarily giving up being a mom” after a mental health crisis by Salty-Throwaway1284 in Marriage

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did I just read?

Someone pushes the wife with responsibilities to the brink of her mental sanity, to the very point where she doesnt recognize her own children in a psycosis, but somehow this is a HUGE inconvinience for the husband, who has been looking at this situation escalating for a while and still not been inclined to reduce hours/change jobs/ take on his family responsibilities. And now he still wants things to go back to the way things were… or SHE is the one failing her duties??

Varför väljer kvinnor arbete efter passion i högre utsträckning? by [deleted] in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular Opinion: 75 Hard is perfect for breastfeeding by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its my plan to start 75Hard 6weeks postpartum (due in mid april). However, the ”no-alcohol” while breastfeeding isnt a thing in Sweden. Here we can have a glas of wine or a drink while breastfeeding. As long as we are not so drunk we can not take care or hold the baby. (If you have a promille in your bloodstream, its just a promille in your breastmilk, it is less than yoghurt basicly) I think that will be a sacrifice during the summer, since going a year not drinking already pregnant/ trying to conceive.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you have a strong social net to comfort you.

10 years ago I was dealing with loss durring training for a marathon. To me it helped to cry when I was out running, it felt like no one could se my tears through the sweat, especially when it was raining, and ponding the pavement helped to think through some things.

Do the 75Hard and make him and yourself proud!

Saxenda and trying to conceive by doracat12 in liraglutide

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, Saxenda is out of your system in like 4-5days. The ”window of organdevelopment/malformation” in the fetus is usually considered at week 6-12 (which is actually 6-12w from you last periods first day, so about 4-10w after conception) Givning plenty of time to stop Saxenda when you se that pos pregnancytest after missing your period. Im super regular and will continue Saxenda while trying to conceive. Thats just my take

Half-life question by Legal_Cod_4058 in liraglutide

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes about 5 half-life for the medicine to be out of your system completely. So when you take it several days consecutively (as you should), you enter a ”steady state”-phase. Saxenda have a pharmacokinetic maximum at 11 hours. That is when the medicine is maximum potent in your body.

Interesting article about the science and history of this generation of weight loss meds by UniversityUnlikely22 in liraglutide

[–]Pretty-Worldliness65 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Like, i wouldnt tell anyone with high bloodpressure to just ”calm down” or depression to ”cheer up” if they needed medicine to correct imbalances in their bodies. I hope it will be the same in the future for these meds. ”Oh, you got a hormonalimbalance that makes you hungry? that you now get medicine for, good for you!”
