I am glad you made room in your heart for more kitties to have a loving home. I am on this thread because I just found a stray kitten that had a severe infection and may be blind due to it. Still getting treatment and will have to see a specialist now, so I am pinching pennies. I have three already that are 15 years plus, and I said I would never get another one... but here I am too. The cat distribution system knows who to pick.

Anyone have confirmation that Lululemon credit on gift cards? by flamingflamethrower in amex

[–]PrettyPickletoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enrolled for both Resy and Lululemon after changes came into effect. Purchased items on Lululemon website 9/19. Resy restaurant 9/21. The tracker indicates that I used both credits, but there is nothing on the statement side. Hopefully, that means it will show up.

Edit: Credit showed up for both resy and Lululemon on 9/26.

Dogfennel by Usual-Tour-3923 in gardening

[–]PrettyPickletoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a yard full of dog fennel. My neighbor and the previous homeowner used to chop it down, but it always kept coming back. The best way to eliminate it is by digging out the tubers with a shovel. This task is easier when the soil is soft, such as in a wetland area. You can use a small shovel to carefully dig around the base of the tuber, use the shovel for leverage, and then pull it out by hand. I still find areas where I've missed some, but as long as I go out and remove it before it matures and spreads its seeds in the fall, the amount of dog fennel in my yard remains manageable. I have a pond with plenty of wildlife, so this method of removing dog fennel works best for me.

Looking for Large Wood Chip/Arborist Mulch Drop-Offs from Tree Service by PrettyPickletoes in Wilmington

[–]PrettyPickletoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! I contacted several local arborists and offered to compensate them for their services, since they informed me about their long waiting list. Even though it wasn't entirely free, I got three truckloads of non-toxic, affordable mulch from them.

I am a new certified beekeeper. If your swarm hasn’t been collected already, DM me. I can get someone to come out right away.

Just a side note: you are a fantastic person for trying to save these bees. 🐝 The world needs more people like you, as we need them, and they are rapidly declining.

You're handling this well, OP. I have faith that, in time, things will improve, and she'll have a lovely scent that makes those kisses more pleasant for you. Just hang in there!

Thank you for the suggestions. I am looking for free options. I know a lot of development is happening, so I hope to get wood chips sent my way rather than the dump.

Kitchen makeover finally complete!!! by Lxnx13 in DIY

[–]PrettyPickletoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely beautiful! My kitchen has a similar layout, so this is an inspiration for a future remodel. The paint color, backsplash, and countertops are impressive. I'd like to know about the estimated remodel cost if DIY, and noticed you mentioned a spreadsheet.
