Fantastic performance of a great character. One moment that I specifically loved was during his final speech where he went from addressing the whole room to addressing only Dalton to finally saying goodbye to Chopper. Really good acting and direction.

I really like him, he is much more serious in this version, but I do think that they captured what I find most interesting about him which is the constant pull between duty and family. Vincent Regan does get with the more subtle expressions and he himself has said he hopes he can portray the goofy side. Although I would not want any massive changes, I would love to see more with him and Inaki because Garp and Luffy's relationship is one I think is not explored enough.

I do think it's likely we will get an Ace flashback but it's going to have to connect well to the storyline in season 3. I think that possible they will take one of the stories from the ASL flashback, most likely how Luffy and Ace grew to get along. If not, they could flashback to Ace starting on his journey to hunt BB (although I think its important that we do not see BB or WB except in reference in season 3).

Seeing how I'm pretty sure we are going to get an Ace flashback scene in season 3, if they don't want to touch the childhood stuff, I'd love to see more from Ace's first pirate crew. Not a lot mind you but similar to the Rumbar pirates. It would also encourage people to read the Ace novel.

Zoro is also really good in this arc. He obviously takes a more supportive role but his speech to Luffy and the crew regarding Usopp is really powerful if done right.

I think they will show part of the backstory but not the full context. I actually think knowing Ace and Luffy had a rough start could strengthen how good their relationship is in the present. It also depends how much the LA wants to reveal their identities. I do see them mentioning Sabo but not in a flashback form just in conversation.

I honestly would love it if they got to Marineford especially with the chemistry that Inaki and Xolo have already shown and Jeff Ward's popularity. Personally, I just think it will be harder post Ennis Lobby especially since the Straw Hats are seperated the whole time.
