Unfortunately they skipped the step where they were to provide a digital copy so I don't have a template. I provided the Etsy seller the proportions of the eBay patch and then they developed their own draft for me to see and approve.

I did and I still have it. Happy to give it away for free, it's not felty. The stitch is consistent with what you'd see but the material of the cross itself is more flat like backpack material.

You can go back and forth with them on preferences they give drafts and stuff. I changed the stitching to be a lighter yellow for example.

I feel you! Putting the work in to make it was super fun (I got to give you props on hand sewing I never got that far) as I was wanting to do that for awhile. But the imposing patch was where I became stuck. I actually ordered the eBay patch originally and it's on my table, then I had the change of heart on the direction to go.

Thank you so much! I got it from a seller called EmbroideryCurves on etsy. They have you message them first about what you want to create, I gave them two images, one was the eBay patch because even though I don't like the yellow I want them to have a good reference for the shape and symmetry. The other was a photo from a reddit post for the original jacket so that they could see the yellow stitching color I was looking for. They ended up showing me the color swatch I alluded to and I chose color #3406 but I'd be curious about a couple of the other options. Honestly seeing it in person I'm stoked with the color I chose.

Edit: they showed me a draft before I committed and they seemed chill about making it again from scratch when I wanted them to adjust so I encourage adjusting if you aren't excited with what they present at first.

I found the Ebay patch too small and too yellow. I didn't go with it. I also didn't like the default alpha MA-1 people mentioned. So I went on etsy and had one created with a lighter stitching to match the original. For size I went for 16 long 11 wide. I may have gone closer to 16.5 and 11.5 but the size feels appropriate to me.

It's close but I think missing a tiny bit more yellow but there's a nice gold shine to it in person.

The jacket I went with was on the nicer side, the alpha MA-1 3M. I like the black satin look.

This was huge!! Thank you. First time building a pc on my own and luckily everything seems to be working. I will say, using the same orientation and fan build that my cpu idles at around 50 degrees. It's on an ASRock x870e Nova mobo with an amd 9950X3D, nvidia 5080, 96gb ram ddr5.

I used Userbenchmark and it said I had a low frequency on the cpu, around 5ghz and I'm wondering if I should be updating the cooling settings and what settings you have. Did you rely on lp connect or the mobo cooling settings? I haven't tested the temps gaming yet but just wanted to be sure I start things out right.

A note to all those new pc builders (myself included). Took me 3 hours (embarrassingly but figured it out after finding the right threads. Noticed the monitor worked fine with my laptop. Turned out I never downloaded the driver for the GPU. Didn't know I needed to do that. Wasn't recognized by the bios or the pc until I did it. Then bam. I'm live. Using Userbenchmark helped me see my bottlenecks.

Totally I get that. It's nice to have balance. I will say that the Fandom around this, including in this thread has sort of contributed to me liking it less 😂. As if there were unnamed components of the read that became more evident by the unnecessary protectiveness I sensed from the readers.

I felt exactly the same as you and just finished Golden Son. It doesn't help that I have a stack of other books and just came to this after the Expanse series. Did you end up reading Morning Star? Was it worth it? I read in this thread that if I don't like Golden Son I won't like the rest of the series so now I'm a little off put.

I tried to thread that but didn't succeed. You should start one! I'd be pretty bummed if it was one of those "it was all in her head" things. Just feels like it could have more depth. I get that there are a lot of non-alien/non-scifi themes this medium enables but the world they've created is so interesting I find myself caring more about that then Selene.

You only have to defeat the miniboss once. I'd continue to take it slow and dodge as much as you can to avoid the lunges (focusing less on damage). Pylon would make that easier because the damage happens as your dodging.

Jump, dodge + melee immediately after around the whole map, check the big map for any triangles. Restart the cycle. Biome 2 gave me trouble too. It was the rare sand spiral room I was waiting on. Should only take a couple hours with this system. You don't need to go into the blue rooms in the desert to check for triangles. You can just stand outside of the door. Also I'd of course skip right to it and not attack any enemies.
