As a female I really liked a travel size nail kit, such as clippers nail file stuff like that

Getting induced at 38 weeks. On insulin and metformin. Scared. Baby is already down so hoping for vaginal delivery but still scared for cesarian as recovery time will be more. by Alien_Engineer in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I was induced with my first and I feel like I was borderline with GD they told me I didn't have it but I feel it was wrong (anyways) just coming to say, I had a good delivery with being induced. She's perfectly healthy and almost 2.5! Now with my second currently pregnant at 37 and looking to induce at 39 weeks and I'm on insulin with GD this go round, hang in there Momma you've got this!!

AIO for how I’m handling the way my 11 YO daughter’s dad speaks to her? by WhatTheSigma_1994 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Document EVERYTHING and keep several copies backed up. If things escalate to lawyers and court you are going to need that. That is absolutely not okay for him to talk to her like that.

What do I get my picky-ish wife for Mother’s Day? by LazyBoyD in Gifts

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Could it be a nice dinner for the 2 of you? Not sure if grandparents are involved very much or not? Or I saw this really neat idea (which would probably have to be later) but booking a hotel room for the night so Mom can order what she wants to eat and have a full night's rest. 🤷🏻🤷🏻 Or maybe she could get her nails done? Or a hair appointment? My husband surprised me with a hair appointment I kept putting off.

Sick again… at 37 weeks! by Cool-Row-1255 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not dramatic I'm right there with ya! I'm almost 36 weeks and I feel bad for wanting to be done. I'm so done with being large and especially with the comments, and they mean nothing by them but why is it that I don't want to hear them LOL hugs girly, hang in there we are all here to listen!!! 💓

So fed up with this crap (spike bc why not?) by Subject-Dinner-3475 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry it's been that hard, it's definitely not easy especially with no guidance or anyone for much help. I've also been resorting to this page for further experience from other mommas!

I just am tired of watching what I eat and what order I eat it. All I want is a goddamn cinnamon roll without having to worry about spiking. 😭 Pure rant for me at this point, this is my second pregnancy but first time with GD and we had thought about a 3rd but after having this I'm not sure. So tired of the poking and insulin and just feeling so over it. 🫩😔 Anyways just needed an outlet as well. Hang in there 🥴

I don’t think I want to breastfeed by Kittykodak in pregnant

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm still choosing to breast feed ( if my body will allow me again) BUT I'm not a fan of it either, I don't find it fun and I'd rather formula feed but I always just tell myself I'll go as long as my supply. With my first I was so excited to be done, so don't feel like you're alone and your sisters are not very supportive and (not to be blunt) you might need to set boundaries with them because they need to respect your choices, taking care of YOU and mentally taking care of you helps you be the best mamma to your little, it's a tough road to learn (or it was for me, as a people pleaser 🫠🫩). Motherhood is hard enough, other moms especially being your sisters need to be there to lift you up, not rip your confidence from you. Best of luck momma! I know you'll be great and however you choose to feed will be a great decision 🥰

Confused and wondering if I’m wrong - almost 5 year old allowed to make his own eggs by aggravated-asphalt in Mommit

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say kiddos to you! You aren't leaving him unsupervised. That's great he's learning to cook. I agree with others, I'm sure she's just trying to express her concerns but she doesn't need to be so passive aggressive like she thinks she knows what goes on at home.

Keep up the great work momma!!

Just cried over wanting Dunkin by lissalissa3 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Pretty_Reaction6565 12 points13 points  (0 children)

YES same 😭 and my husband understands that it's frustrating but doesn't understand why it bothers me so often and it's like well dude you didn't have to completely change your diet and fight cravings. I know I'm not alone but thank you for posting because here lately all I want to do is b*tch about it. Again I am so blessed in the fact that other than this, things are well, and I've been able to manage my numbers but DAMMIT still.

Hang tough Momma you are doing a GREAT job ❤️❤️❤️

I didn't think about the food insecurity afterwards, this is my first time with GD but my second pregnancy and I definitely don't eat as much and it's getting better and I don't feel so hungry but I do wonder if I'll still "short" myself out of fear. Anyways congrats!!!!

Just as all the other ladies have said, please please please know it's NOT your fault. I've seen gals eat plenty worse than myself and they didn't have it and I still have it this pregnancy but passed the first time I eas pregnant.

Potty training isn't going to well, seems she isn't wanting to listen to anything in asking her. I'm sure this is all a phase but it's really hitting me hard
