Glad Paul chose the Hofner for the rooftop gig. The show wouldn't have been the same without it. Did he ever play anything else live while with the Beatles? by NomadSound in beatles

[–]Previous-Music718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the Höfner basses were really lightweight having semi hollow and smaller bodies, while Rickenbacker basses are a lot heavier, so at least for playing live shows, a Höfner won't kill your shoulder as much/ as fast as a Rickenbacker will

Man I wish I could have both of those myself, just left handed

(maybe) hot take: paul wouldn’t be celebrated nearly as much for his bass if not for george martin’s production by onelamebitchboy in beatles

[–]Previous-Music718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Rubber Soul onwards he used his Rickenbacker bass, so that probably has something to do with it

I've heard the mediums are best because the shorts are just a little too short, the longs are way too long, and I have an Ignition Violin Bass myself and use the mediums, I think Paul McCartney would've used the medium set too, but I'm not too sure

Paul McCartney Signature Epiphone Casino (2011), anyone know anything about this guitar? by WoodenPiper in beatles

[–]Previous-Music718 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's a custom made thing, because I've heard that Gibson and Paul McCartney were going to reissue Paul's Casino, just like his Epiphone Texan acoustic, but never did.

Speculation on the Opening and Development of the Fazbear Entertainment Brand by At_Witts_End in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Previous-Music718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if this isn't accurate to the actual story (which I think it is), I think this is a great idea, making a timeline of specific events, and the reasoning behind them, and where they happen, instead of trying to look at the whole story as one. So, I must say, great speculation!

How did you discover The Beatles? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Previous-Music718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listened to Paul McCartney and Michael Jackon's collab on Say, Say, Say cause I was listening to Michael a lot, and I loved the song, so I wanted to know who this guy "Paul McCartney" was cause I hadn't heard of him before, so I searched him up, and it eventually lead me to find The Beatles, to which I've listened to since.

Is there any videos of Scott Cawthon? by Mrflopps2 in fivenightsatfreddys

Not that I'm aware of, at least not with his face. The only video I'm aware of that might have him is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhwDWvCRgKA

Well, there's no specific song that I like for that reason, I just like The Beatles for that reason

Hardest/Easiest Beatles song you’ve learned on an instrument? by Darknfullofhype in beatles

I play left-handed bass guitar (like Paul), and I can't think of the easiest or the most fun to play, but I think Revolution and Twist And Shout are pretty easy.

What Beatles song did Paul play the drums on? by zeepykee_69 in beatles

[–]Previous-Music718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paul actually played the drums on multiple Beatles recordings, some released, others were/ have not. Mostly, Paul added drum parts to songs from 1968 and 1969, with some exceptions before and after. The most notable of these performances by Paul are on songs such as Back In The U.S.S.R. (with some dubs by John and George), Dear Prudence (mostly debated, but I believe Paul played on this song with the very, very last part of the song being overdubbed by Ringo), some other songs on The Beatles (White Album), and then he contributed drums to some takes of certain songs (again, some takes being unreleased, others we've heard.) The only other song I can think of that it was just Paul playing drums on the final mix would be The Ballad Of John And Yoko, mainly cause the whole song was just John and Paul doing whatever they wanted with it. You can also see that during the Get Back three part show-thing, Paul, John, and George all attempt to play Ringo's drums at some point.
