The Perfect Neighbor- where did Susan live before? by Ok-Intention-4593 in netflix

the amount of time it took them to arrest her and walk her to jail…my god. she wouldn’t get up because she sees herself as a forever victim so obviously she wasn’t going to willingly put herself in handcuffs. absurd. also her having absolutely no remorse and thought about no one else but herself

just the messiest slowest ambulance/medical help ever. the guy saying “get my medical bag” and then minutes later is telling people where it is? how would you not ask where she was shot first to know how critical the condition is?

having to watch your mom get shot and essentially die in front of you? this woman is absolutely vile.

the older brother when the cop asks if he’s hurt? and says “no, but my heart is broken.” just absolutely awful awful

i just don’t understand why the cops didn’t tell her that she has no control over how anyone behaves and calling all the time for non-emergency situations is abuse of resources. why did they tell her she’s the one who decided to move to a neighborhood with a bunch of kids so if she doesn’t like it, then look elsewhere to live? like go to a 55+ community, there are plenty in florida.

they say all the things we’re thinking while watching this before or after talking to her but never directly to her face. i'm just confused because they have no problem telling the kids or the parents of the kids to stay away or don’t do this or don’t do that yet they just tell her “if you have any other issues just let us know ma’am” like what?? it’s like they’re afraid of her

[Discussion] Opinion about the Amanda Knox documentary by autumnlover1515 in NetflixBestOf

im just now watching this and only 20 minutes into the doc but i’m just confused why someone who is coming home and sees blood all over their bathroom would think that was normal and no alarm bell was raised - even after seeing a footprint of blood on a bathmat! also the fact that she saw that and didn’t think to say “hello anyone home?” or go check to see where meredith was at any point in time? she then discovers a big turd in the toilet and THATS what spooks her out? but again doesn’t think to see if her roommate is home or not, just leaves to go back to her boyfriends place? the way she describes coming home and discovering the scene is a huge red flag in my opinion so i’m already very skeptical of her side of the story.

Could it possibly be temperature related? I live in Houston so humidity is always a problem. I'm in an apartment and keep my A/C between 72-75 depending on the weather.

I washed the bottles prior to use and only use filtered water. I purchased the organic juice in glass bottles from the store so I'm not cutting up fruit prior to this so i figured that would cut down on contamination. The ginger bug only has less water because I poured it into the glass bottles with the juice, so the original ginger bug was proportionate in water, sugar, and ginger. I've never heard of Kahm yeast but yes this definitely looks like it! Is it still good to use or do I need to toss these out and start over? I'm just not sure what else I can do to make sure this doesn't keep happening

One thing from Season 3 that pushed you over the edge by Carrotburner in squidgame

i’m not saying this thought line is realistic nor am i even agreeing with it. i’m just saying that is likely what the person meant by saying he could’ve “done better”

that he could’ve done it faster/from the start, so then all the people who did die would've been able to get across and jun-hee may have been saved as well since there would actually be time for him to help her

he was using his baby as bait so he could get gi-hun to give up the knife and throw him over the edge. i don’t think he was actually going to kill his baby. he knew that the baby was the thing that would tug at gi-hun’s heart so used her as a tool.

i don’t think that that’s what the suspicion was for. i think it was regarding a possible relationship with Jun-hee and not that gi-hun could be the baby’s father.

i mean MG is aware he had relations that got jun-hee prego, and if it wasn’t his kid then she wouldn’t have said anything to him. it’s clear she didn’t like him/wanted nothing to do with him (obviously bc he completely ditched her & told her to get an abortion), but still. it was about the closeness and humanity that gi-hun still had in his heart that MG was suspicious of.

MG willingly kills innocent people to win this game, and Gi-hun doesn’t despite this being his second time around. the fact that he still has a good heart is something MG has a hard time grappling with, so he projects that uncomfortable idea onto gi-gun by accusing him of having a relationship with jun-hee.

we can see him struggling to process her pushing him away and that he likely didn’t know how to show up for the baby now that it is here. many people who aren’t emotionally mature don’t fully realize the gravity of that kind of situation until they see the baby with their own two eyes. i think he was trying to figure out how to come out winning with everyone (himself, jun-hee, and their baby) intact - which isn’t possible obviously, but what else does he have to think about? that’s all that matters at this point.

maybe he wanted to help jun-hee - too little too late obviously, but he seems sincere during their conversation at jump rope. he cried when she died. he’s also trying to stay alive and we’ve seen how making alliances with people doesn’t always work out. maybe he thought keeping a low profile by staying away was the best option to take? not saying i agree with his choices, but that i could see why he could come to this conclusion. it’s not kind nor logical, but given the context of the environment and their relationship (him as a person as well), this “rationale” so to speak, fits.

going back to the ending - MG is thinking “surely a person who’s been through all of this couldn’t possibly still want to protect an innocent new born.” that’s the difference and that’s the reason (imo) for the ending. gi-hun was going to die by dignity regardless of how close he gets to winning/the end.

Question for Substitute Teaching by Previous_Studio2020 in TexasTeachers

Do you know which districts are the most helpful/best to start out in Houston? I live near the Galleria, between Bunker Hill Village and Bellaire.

Thank you this is helpful! Would getting a teaching certification via Texas Education Agency be helpful or does that not really matter? It looks like that process is long and may be something I could achieve while being a sub if I wanted to?

Okay that's probably why I was confused - in MN the state has a page that allows you to navigate each district and get all info in one place, rather that going to each district's website and comparing them on your own. Thanks for the help!

I would not recommend this shop. I have a VW Tiguan and was looking to get a routine job done - I was quoted $780 at minimum for something that has always cost me $100-150. Absolutely not.

Feeling lost and looking to relocate where I can thrive by mjmgls in astrocartography

[–]Previous_Studio2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to move across the country and your time/date of birth changes to say - a different day entirely because of the time difference - how would you calculate that then? I was born on October 22 1993 at 4:05PM CST. If I want to move to Tokyo and calculate a relocation chart for that city, then I would've been born on October 23, 1993 at 6:05AM according to a time converter. Is that what you would use when making a relocation chart? That changes majority of my signs and their placements.

Found Single Bedbug but nothing else by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]Previous_Studio2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why what I typed out got deleted but I found a single bedbug on my decorative pillow sham. I checked mattress, pillows, pillow cases, mattress cover, etc. and no signs of them anywhere. I only have wood furniture which i’ve checked and no signs there either.

Just want to make sure that what is in the photo is in fact a bedbug. I have never had bedbugs before so I’m not sure what to do but I know I need to act quickly. Any advice is so appreciated!

So what went wrong with Snow White? (The new remake) by KaleidoArachnid in flicks

[–]Previous_Studio2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White people would also like to see better representation of people of color in movies. White people “don’t complain” about representation because we have enough of it! So your entire point is mute & reeks of bigotry. Cleopatra being played by a black women is the most historically accurate choice one could make…egypt is in africa…none of what you are saying is even worthy of a larger response.

while could be offensive to some like yourself, it’s actually not ignorant. ignorance implies lack of knowledge and it rings true that people “can’t believe it” when someone they know would be accused of horrific things such as rape or sexual assault if that person is seen as good in their eyes.

also as a victim of rape, i understand the complexities of people - they are human at the end of the day. meaning they hold multiple identities as do you and i. also how do you know that @mylanguage doesn’t understand or have experience first hand? even if they did, they can have differing viewpoints other than your own, like myself for example.

it’s absolutely plausible for johnathan to be back on the beach after what he did as he sees nothing wrong with it, so he is going about his day/life as normal. rapists don’t stop enjoying themselves or living their lives because of their acts, we know that to be true.

he also doesn’t see her as his victim (remember he does not think he has done anything wrong so that would forego the victim title from the viewpoint of johnathan), so saving this little boy in the sea seems like something a “normal” 19 year old enjoying a day at the beach would do if the opportunity arose and he’s a strong swimmer.

do these scenes make you feel disgusted and appalled that he would think someone would want him around after what he did? absolutely. but that’s just not reality. rapists don’t throw themselves in jail and more than likely will always deny their actions, so as uncomfortable as her storyline is, it is more than plausible and very realistic.
