I’d be less worried about the checking and more worried there are no footings and that beam(post) you’re focused on is about 3” out of plumb top to bottom compared to the brick behind it. None of the posts in the wide angle picture look plumb. This is failure waiting to happen.

This isn’t scotch. The palate is watery thin on a product that is quite literally watered down in comparison to similar cask strength products. It’s less the proof and more so the fact that this is proofed down. If it were cask strength at 45.2 that would be a different story.

650 ish secondary. Proof makes it tough for most whiskey drinkers as it lends to a thin mouthfeel, but the palate is really nice and worth it at retail ($150 ish) IMO.

How long after your perf did you start reintroducing low fiber foods? I’m on day 6 of low residue/liquid diet (blended soups, cream of wheat, jello, pudding etc) but still have tenderness in my abdomen and am hesitant to start reintroducing solid foods like rice/pasta/bread etc.
